Yes I am on Facebook - although I only dip in and out! How can I search for The Cure party? Sounds intriguing, what kinds of an event is it? I had a look at cureconnections.com the other day - it does seem to be a lot busier than here :( I read a really interesting thread about song inspirations there, loads of stuff that I hadn't read before... It's a shame that the old forum lot don't come here anymore, did it really get that bad? Well it's always nice to talk to you anyway :) Do you keep in touch with the oldies through other sources? I'm sorry to hear curecolours has gone quiet, not more fallings out I hope?

I haven't completely given up on Bestival yet - although my bloke's still not convinced about holidaying in the IOW :( What's this about a Cure party??? I've not heard about it, is it top secret? I guess for you it's a shame that it's quieter here than it used to be (although I don't know any different myself)... I sometimes lurk at curecolours - but it all seems a bit hi-tech, it intimidates me a bit. I know everyone moans about this site but it's so basic it's just about at the right level for me! ;) Nice, as ever, to chat to you!

It kind of makes sense now, I guess the people who frequent the unofficial forums are choosing to be there because they like the kind of chat that goes on there. As this is the official site, everyone feels that this is where they ought to be - so you'll get all sorts, rubbing each other the wrong way... or something like that! How did you get your moderator post - I can see you'd be good at that (mediating again??) must be because you're a Libran - we're good at that kind of thing! :) Thanks for the heads up on the members - DJ's Helloworld123 now isn't he? And Basileus was another one I was a bit wary of - he seems a bit of a WMS kind of guy - mean one minute, sweet the next - very confusing... well I'll tread carefully and try not to pee any one off - wish me luck!

I got the impression that things had been a little shakey, so I'd held off mentioning it in an open forum... I didn't want to start world war III! But don't worry I don't scare that easily - it's nice talking to fellow Cure fans and having a place to talk utter twaddle too! Are there any members I should be scared of?? You mentioned that the moderator was one of the Cure crew - do you mean they were someone close to the band?? Hope it's not scared RS off... :( ... Anyway it's been nice talking to you again!

I am slightly intrigued by all the veiled references to the "history" of the site and the "unpleasantness" that surrounded it. I won't ask you to divulge (as it seems you've all made an oath never to speak of it) - but it is really intriguing!! I'm hoping I'll know some of the rarities on Joined the Dots - when I was a pre-teen my sister and I had Staring at the Sea on double cassette (showing my age...) and it had all the B-sides on it, the only one I can remember clearly is Mr Pink Eyes - but I looking forwards to rediscovering them! :)

Thanks so much for the special birthday wish! Cameron is going to turn 11 on August 31st. It's so hard to believe how fast time is going by. Makes me a little sad. I was hoping you could possibly give me some insight regarding the post about a possible tour in 2011? It looks like you have been a long-time member, so I thought you may have some good advise/insight. My question is, if this was to happen, do you think they will post a link on this website to buy tickets?
