- Your myspace page, I mean; I took a proper look at it this weekend. (Did you photograph the background as well? It’s beautiful). But what really came here to say is a very, very late ‘Happy Birthday’ for last month. (And you still look younger than me. I mean, c'mon!!) How did you celebrate? I’m being a very slack Christmas shopper this year, but in the spirit of giving I have gifted myself with two tickets to see Velvet Revolver next March. Can’t wait! And now it seems like I keep hearing ‘Sweet Child ‘O Mine’ over and over on the radio – one of my favourite guitar solos ever. (I should really amend my previous statement to ‘Can’t wait to see Slash’!!) Hope all is good with you? Are you expecting some CC-themed presents under the tree this year? As a very loyal and dedicated fan I should think you deserve, oooh, at least the promise of tickets to next years NY shows (when perhaps the weather will be warmer…?). Enjoy the holidays for now! xx

Woohoo!! I’m still in awe that you managed to hit both shows! I was thinking about you at the weekend and wondering how they’d gone. Are your ears still ringing? I can’t believe you got to hear that Beatles cover on the 10th – love that song! What were the highlights for you? It was worth all the travelling, waiting, discomfort, I hope?? You are ahead of the fashion! Everyone is starting to get fringes since Kate Moss had one cut recently. I bet it really suits you! I had way long hair once (not as long as yours, but right down below my shoulder blades), but I kept shorter layers at the front so that it looked softer when I tied my hair up. Oh, and Chris isn’t going to forget the woman who flew all that way to see him in a hurry, don’t you worry! You are having an incredible year for music (um, so long as we don’t count the 12 hr country extravaganza, right?!) Hehe. :)

And you're going to get an amzing setlist, I just know it – he’s been digging out all sorts of rarities and cover versions. Wow. Two nights in a row of THAT! Does it get much better?! Oh, I get it now! I didn’t realise sharpie = marker pen, lol. Poor Chris! I bet he was flattered that such a long-term fan had flown all that way to meet him. It’s nice to hear that he is interested in what people actually think of his shows. He sounds pretty humble and funny, actually. Okay, now I want to meet him too! Wow, and less than a month to go before you get to hit another of his shows. Way to go!!

I’ve never heard of that. Is it early Soundgarden? Got my copy of Superunknown in the post this morning and I can’t wait to have a proper listen later! It’s a Brendan O’Brien-produced one so I have high hopes!! (Revelations is my fav A/S record). Goodness, how did you get ahold of that rare vinyl?? One of 300? – And with people all across the country vying for it, no doubt, that’s very impressive! Are there others from the forum who might be going to your shows? I wish I’d met more fellow Brit forum ppl at my gig. I kept looking around while I was waiting for Fluttermoth and Grungegirl to show up, wondering ‘Are YOU one of them, or YOU …?’ lol – this funny internet thing; ya just never know who could be writing some of these posts! (I really AM a 25-yr old female btw, in case you were wondering, lol).

Oh why can’t CC post a NYC date; I’d fly over for that!! Really hope you get to see him at one of those venues though. We definitely get spoilt seeing him in the smaller ones where you get a better view of the stage, and there’s more of a feeling of camaraderie with a smaller crowd, I find – knowing that everyone around you is a big fan, and all rocking out/singing along together … Good times!! And good luck completing your CC collection! Vinyls are nice to display aren’t they? I don’t have any myself, just a couple of old Beatles singles my mum gave me that are lurking around somewhere. Glad to hear that hubby is being supportive, lol! What’s the most prized item that you’ve got your hands on so far??

You Tube has the alt. version, for sure, I know because I have that one. Probably the other one as well. Here's what I do: There is a program for download called the Video Piggy ($24). With that you can lift any video from You Tube (for free) and transfer it into any other format. I transfer it into MP4 and load it into my video Ipod. Talk about a wealth of video footage at the palm of my hand!! Once you start on that, you'll be busy for quite some time. I am now into finding and categorizing multiple live versions of all my favorite songs from over the years. But be careful, this little hobby can easily get out of control...

Some serious dedication to the Chris cause going on there! :) I’ve downloaded a few rarities I was curious about and I have the Audioslave DVDs because it’s the closest I will ever get to seeing them now, but that’s about it. It’s such a shame this site is down at the moment: http://www.triadpictures.com/audioslave/ - so many goodies there! I was pretty fanatical about the Foo Fighters when I was at uni; I bought singles/dual versions of CDs etc. but it wore off after a while (overplay I think!) and once I got iTunes I just imported everything and gave away most of my collection. I’m not very good at this ‘fan’ thing, lol. It is VERY satisfying, however, when you track down something rare. That definitely appeals to my competitive streak, so I totally get what you mean about the challenge of your quest! Good luck!! (PS, what does your husband think …?) ;)

I think you’ve more than earned one! :) OMG, 12 hours of that would just about kill me I’m afraid. Longest I’ve managed was queuing up 11.30am; gates open 2pm; first support band 4pm; (CC 7.45ish?) and Aerosmith came offstage about 11pm. Just some boring healthy snacks in-between – talk about a Hunger Strike! I was ravenous by the time we got out of Hyde Park!! Hope your hearing recovers soon; I didn’t know that country could get so loud! Was it a big venue then? The DVDs we were talking about are the three Audioslave ones: Live In Cuba 2005 (full length concert and documentary); the self-titled DVD that has music vids for Cochise, Like A Stone and Set It Off + 2 songs from their rooftop Late Show performance and some interview footage; and the bonus DVD disc from Revelations with interview/performance excerpts. Chris REALLY needs to release a live concert disc from this tour! How good would that be?! Ooh, so what odd SG stuff have you been buying up recently…??

Oh wow, that sounds fun! I haven’t done that since Aerosmith (with CC and others as support) back in June. Hope you have fun today! You must tell me who was in the line-up! Hopefully adrenaline from the show will get you through afterwards when you have to work. I’m sure my post-CC high has been what’s kept me going this week. I have slept A LOT this weekend though! I feel like ‘me’ again now. Just with a whole bunch of wonderful memories from that incredible experience :) Take care, talk to you soon xx

Believe me, I would be so excited to be part of a NY concert! I have the Audioslave DVD where they perform on the roof of a chat show in the city, and just seeing all of those yellow cabs driving down below … It makes me want to be there again SO BAD!! Chances are Chris won't be back in England for some time now, so I think I’m just going to have to catch him in America! I'm too impatient to wait for another UK tour. If he announces NY dates I am so there!! I will make it happen somehow! You sound as tired as I’ve been recently – take care xx

I just read your post – your FIRST POST! Woohoo!! I’m honoured that you commented on the gig in my thread! :) It was insane being up front (about 2 or three ‘rows’ back) – when all the pushing/moshing started, you just had to go with it; one minute I’d be right up close in front of Chris’s mic, the next there would be this big surge of people and I’d get swept over towards Corey. I was further back for a while, just cooling off, and thinking, ‘Phew, this is better’, then the band gets everyone fired up again and : ‘Wooo, here we go again!!’ So much fun! I’m glad I wore a vest-top, not a tee, because it got SO hot in there; I was crushed up between big, sweaty men (eww!) and people were throwing water and beer around (what a waste!). I came out afterwards with trampled toes, soaking wet back (from the water), hair a complete dishevelled mess, not much of a voice, and the BIGGEST smile on my face, lol! Oh wow … I just can’t stop thinking about it all. I’ve prob had about 4 hours sleep, maybe? Ah, who care? – Sleep is overrated IMO! I really hope that you get to see Chris in NY soon. He is just unbelievable live. OMG that voice of his gives me chills; every note is pitch perfect (regardless of the faces he’s pulling, lol). And I KNOW that when you go you’ll get some fabulous photos again – so let’s hope he comes and does a show at a venue with very poor air-con!! ;)

Aww, that’s so funny – poor hubby!! This site is my guilty secret atm … I was hanging out with my gig buddy this w/e and nearly gave the game away with all my new music knowledge, lol!… As for how hot Chris is, well… I drove another mate crazy because I WOULD NOT SHUT UP about him until CC gig-day. But then we saw Chris up on stage with his children and his wife in the wings and my heart just melted… All I felt was happy for him. He’s a very handsome man, no doubt about it, and I’d love to meet him some day. But I think I actually admire him more for being a caring, contented father and husband, as well as an extremely talented and charismatic singer… Besides, you know from my PMs who is more my type!! ;)

That picture was taken the 2nd of 2 nights in Boston of the first Audioslave tour. We hung out both nights backstage. He was more accessible back then, but always very, very sweet! I had him sign the picture @ the show on May 2 in Hollywood. I won the m & g, but security at the venue were awful to all of us. I got hurt at the show and missed most of it, too. It was horrible. I had many good times seeing him since then, thank God! xoxoxoxo, Scarlet

It doesn't take long to get use to. Everyone here is friendly and so funny. hehehe We are like a big family. I never liked forums before til I joined this one. I've lurked for years..even on CC's EM board and the AS board. Enjoy yourself and meet new people. We have one wonderful thing in common to talk about CC. :D Ohhhh is right. He is awesome. I was so nervous. I just didn't know what to expect. It was a pleasure to meet him. I never thought it would happen to me but I finally met him!!!.. It only took like.. 14 years! LOL No. Seriously. I never tried to meet him b4 til this year. I know he is a very private person. He was crackin a funny after I had someone take our picture. My eyes were closed. He let me take another (the 2nd pic you see - My Avatar) and told me it was my duty to keep my eyes open at all times... hehe He's a great guy. :D I like the name of your town Cedar Grove. Is that a small town?
