I left a comment for you. The M5 show last week wasn't private, it was a charity event. Fund raisers aren't "private" which is why they're called "fund raisers". If people could afford tickets, then they could buy them. The Utah show was private.

John always look great when he's dressed up. It was his first Academy AWards appearance. And yeah, I was supposed to see Robin Williams at the end of April but his whole tour was canceled. I'm sure he'll reschedule as soon as he's up to he usual antics. I've seen him before, several years ago at BAM which was his last tour.

Yeah my page did fill up fast but that often happens when an univited guest drops in, is asked to leave but lingers like an SBD fart (obviously I wasn't referring to you). I've got some kind of flu or virus that thinks I'm it's perfect host, it's also given me a killer back ache too. Lucky for you that it's avoided you and your family so far. Oh...did we ever have the best time that night...so "red carpet", free flowing drinks and h'ors douvers, VIP room, celebs, photographers....oh.... and the band was fantastic....was about three feet away from James on stage (I'm always on this guy's side) and he's just so brilliant...it was just a stunning night to be a part of. It was I think the best of the best for me to wind down the Tango Mango Tour. Btw...who is the girl in your picture???

Chris and I have been talking (via email for over eight months now) the first day that he aired on the show was the first day I emailed him congratulating him on doing the one thing I've been waiting for so long for; playing the son of the Great Victor Newman.....I didn't really think much of it until he started writing back and keeping in contact to tell me how things were going for him and how the folks are on set.....When he started writing about the concert pictures was when I was thrown for a loop.....so it's good to have some daytime contacts to talk to

Yes, thanks, Deb. I've been around long enough to have MANY people on the boards figured out. The thing is that most of them aren't worth the time it takes to deal with, including Donna. But it's fun every once in a while to stir up the bee's nest, allow true 'personalities' (and I use that term lightly) show through, and let them demonstrate their own stupidity for all to see.

I can understand the frustration, though. We definitely were led to believe based on previous soundchecks that there would be pictures, but cest la vie. It's easy for us to say because we've already had them, but a lot of these people haven't and were really hoping for it. Pampered popstars.

Just an excessively shitty day from one of the cats jumping up on the fridge around 4:00 a.m. or so, knocking a huge magnetic file pocket off the side of teh fridge which tossed the mail all over the freakin' place BUT he also broke ANOTHER large 12-cup auto-timer coffee maker. This is eitherthe 3rd or 4th time in the last couple of momths that that furry little scumbag broke a coffee maker. Oh and when it fell, it fell into the dish with the dry cat food which went all over the place along with the shattered glass from pot #4 (or #3). Cleaning it up was a nightmare. If was able to catch the little bastard I would've thrown the little fucker out onto the street. I adopted him as a 5-week old kitten, he's 4 years old now in those 4 years he has caused a few thousand dollars worth of damage . . . just this one little bastard.

It seems like MB20 is everyone's break night. I have a hotel with a spa also (no hubby, no kid), but I actually took two days off next week (watch them get yanked from me), and I scheduled a facial for one of those days. Hubby will be in Vegas again, so I deserve it.

And thanks for your comment about truth on the boards. I do not know the band members personally. Everything I post can be verified very easily either by googling it or asking for an audio upload. There ARE people who know members of the band. I happen to be friends with those people. But I make it a rule never to post insider information unless they posted it first. It's not my place to reveal what they told me. And it may not seem like it, but based on what I know, I have personal opinions of each band member, not just Adam. He is, unfortunately, the easiest target because his "issues" are public. The others' are not. I always say, though, that even though I know lots of crap about these guys, it's not enough to get in the way of how much I love their live shows. I have dumped artists before and thrown away CD's based on bad experiences/encounters. I have never done that with these guys.

My day was a good one...I had a customer calling with that little 'sing-song sarcasm' regarding not getting a Sunday paper....so I gave him the same sing-song answer telling him that all day is Saturday....He couldn't get off the freakin phone fast enough.... I had another customer snapping about the same thing; not getting her Sunday paper...when I told her Saturday is the day, she couldn't stop laughing out of embarrassment for going all off.

Ha! It's Gefilte Fish. I don't eat it. I don't eat any fist, but especially not that. Wanna know why? Because nobody has ever caught a "gefilte." I don't know what's in that junk. Anyway, I think Dubai is actually a beautiful country and a great destination for travel and concerts, but right now the way things are, it's too much of a risk for Adam to be there. Adam admits he doesn't know anything about politics, so he probably has, or had, no clue about what was going on there. If I told my Jewish parents that I was going to Dubai, they'd throw a fit and get my passport revoked. I bet Adam's parents would do the same thing.

Sometimes people with semi-Jewish names can get into the country, but to have Adam, who everyone knows is Jewish, up on stage without proper security (i.e. a bullet-proof glass cage) is too much of a risk. If that's not the main reason why they canceled, it has to be one of them. As a Jewish person, I would never step foot even near there.

As it should for a couple of reasons. One his family was and still will be insanely tight and close and New York is too far away for them to lay his remains. B, the Perth press have always been very extremely respectful of Heath's parents living here and of him when home. I think its the perfect place for it. they'll be able to give him the burial he deserves. Also Perth, no ones going to really bother those flying in for it (and believe me the list in my head is large) everyone here from the states in the business that do come in for it will be left completely alone to mourn. We're too laid back here but if it was in the eastern states the pap's would be clawing at everyone stepping off that plane. Hope your well :o)

It all depends on who chooses the song; I do know that M5 songs have been played off and on for Austin Peck's scenes, so he could have had the CD there and the directors opted to toss that music in there based on his scenes....

It was in 2005. They were supposed to be the only opening act, then Grammy people said "let's use two bands . . . no three . . . no wait, let's have 5 nominees for a couple of top awards". Even though they got to perform, they were annoyed that they didn't get the stage fot themselves as prommised. That pissed off a lot of us. I think it was M5, Gwen Steffani & Eve, Los Lobos, Blackeyed Peas and Franz Ferdinand.

Unfortunately I don't get TRL up in Canada and I have no clue how to download or upload all the links from the board so I'll just close my eyes and imagine how awsome they are...as always. The good thing about consulting from home with clients from all over the place is that I do get to take my sweet ass time around here and take my M5 breaks. I'm really looking forward to A&E in a few weeks. You don't know how much creative visualization I did with M5 on that show and ta-da...it worked again. Alarm worked. Cranked the volume. Sang my heart out. Woke my daughter up (oops!). She sang with me and played her air guitar and pillow drums. Jumped up and down on the bed (like we were really there!). Went to bed. Alarm works in the morning. Get MiniMe off to school. Creep back into bed and you wouldn't believe it....they (M5) all came in singing WUC with tea and toast just for me! But then I realized I dozed off a bit and enjoyed "breakfast in bed" with the guys. Looking forward to the View today! Hey, sorry to hear your health isn't up to par. Hello! I have been crazy busy with all this board work and upcoming appearances and trying to get everyone back for a new school year here. Oh please, I know ALL about not trusting people on boards. You never know who you are really talking to. I kept getting info from all directions on all different things, and was like "WTF am I doing on a band's message board, and then to be dragged into all this crap?!?" But the truth of the matter is that I have met a lot of these people in person or on the phone and the friends I have made are incredible.

I jam in my basement with my radio. My "band," which consists of a bunch of guys with kids in my son's class at school, has a studio where the really nice drumset is. Unfortunately we're always too busy to find time for all 4 of us to get together. So usually it's just me and my ipod.

How good am I at the drums? Um.... My bandmates say I'm good, but I think they like me because I'm female and cute and cook up a nice sweat in a tanktop. But really I'm mediocre. I have coordination issues because I have bad ankles and bad hips, so I'm not physically able to do a lot of the intricate footwork. You need to use all four limbs at once when you drum, and I can only use three because my left ankle is bad and I have a broken toe that will never heal. Luckily it doesn't affect me too much and it's my left foot so I can still kick a mean bass drum (right foot).

Sorry, Deb, I haven't been very consistent lately. Thanks for checking in on me. Got my son back to Boston on Saturday, still am trying to get up the nerve to write a note in the sympathy card for my friend's dad, my daughter flew off to Italy today for two weeks, my mother-in-law's hearing aid needed to go for repair and she called tonight, sounding very confused about what I thought was the repaired aid being returned to her, so I will have to go over tomorrow to try to figure it all out... sigh, it just never ends.

Was it live? Cool! The fake ones are funny, but Shawn on drums actually sounds like something I want to see. I hate to say it, but it really is true, the drummer is the most easily replaceable member of a band. It's tough to step in for a guitarist or lead singer, even bass player, but drummers can usually get by filling in for eachother.

You don't necessarily fake it, but the instruments aren't really mic'd. Only the sound of the recording is piped into the outbound feed, so whatever the guys are playing in the studio isn't heard over the tv. Most likely the song is being played either through overhead speakers in the studio, or it's through the guys' monitors so they can play along.

No, no no. I'm sure Matt was fine. The guys can't stand when they have to fake a performance, so they switch it up for fun. They did one in London, I believe, where Mickey was on keyboards just hitting random notes and Jesse was on bass. And when they cut to Matt, he had a stuffed cat sitting on one of the cymbals. They crack me up when they do that.

Radio stations do 'speed up' the songs. Years ago, they would only play songs that were 3:05 or less, so a lot of songs were grossly edited. Now songs run as long as 4:15 so to fit them in within the allowable times frame per song, without editing, the speed them up just a little. The stations have been give an emalrged amount of time for longer songs but they still need to fit in. (The editing doesn't include 'muting obscentites.) An example of speeding up is Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".

It's possible. Sometimes top 40 stations will speed up a song to make it "poppier." But I will have to take a listen and see if I notice it. I usually don't switch the station when M5 comes up on my Sirius because I've heard the song so many times it's not usually worth turning off Howard Stern. Is it any specific song or all of them?

I've never been drunk in my life, if you can believe it. I had my first sip of alcohol in June when I went to Vegas with my husband. I had a banana daiquri because I was having trouble relaxing. My friend was on the phone with me and she made me walk down to the pool at the hotel and order a drink. She actually listened while I ordered it. Unfortunately I hadn't eaten all day and it was 108 degrees out, so I got really sick.

I do love what I do most of the time, but I do mainly plaintiff work and have to argue against huge corporations that don't care about the people they screw. But when I do defense, I have to make a person out to be a liar (even when he/she is not). But it is never anything like you see on tv. Never. Very few cases go to court, and when they do, they are never like Law & Order or even Court TV unless they are high profile.

I don't know either, but I know a few people have had a problem with it. I had a problem at first until I got rid of a program on my computer that was interfering with it. Did you try a different web browser?

I have no idea! It happened to me a few weeks ago and we still have a couple of people with trouble logging in (you eventually found out the problem). I spoke to our tech and he's going to take a look at it. Hang in! And absolutely no! You were NOT cut off!

Eh, it's ok. The worst I have seen was when MyHoneyBear posted about Ryan's gig and got trampled to the point of SIN having to remove the thread. There was also the Howard Stern debacle, but in that one Adam and his girlfriend got massacred. This one isn't bad at all. I can handle attacks on me and actually relish them, but when someone attacks my friends, watch out.

I got to most concerts alone. I always end up meeting great people, and I don't have the hassle of having to deal with someone else talking to me and pissing me off. Plus, I always buy the most expensive seats and it's tough to find people to go with me.

My seat is pretty good, but all the seats are good at Mohegan. It's a very small arena. I've had nosebleed seats before and was still able to make out the band's faces. Honestly, all I care about are the acoustics because I tape.

I had been debating it for a while because it's on President's Day, which means having my parents cancel their trip to see me. But I have never seen M20, it's at Mohegan which means I can get a free room, and because I buy solo seats, I can get good ones no matter what. So I did it. I just have to break it to the folks...

i have no idea why she was picking on you from the get go, she really rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning, esp when she attacked that poor girl for sharing her story about getting backstage and what not. I did meet Dale at the Boston club gig in Boston last May. There aren't too many other bands I'm interested in enough to travel to see. I did go to see Steeleley Dan in VA with my son summer befoe last. I'm actually contemplating the Blue Man Group at the Civic Cdenter (yuck venue, but impressive show) in February? I think.

I too am a stay at home mom, who works from home, also a fan of M5 but c'mon....give it a rest...you post something about everything...EVERYWHERE...at times with the wrong info (SB's in Canada and shipping - Miss Prodege had to correct your misinformation), we all received the email from SIN but you found it to be nice to pass it on AGAIN. There's nothing "conceited" about having your own thread but it's quite evident you enjoy posting info and threads we have already been aware of. Why on earth would you post venue changes for peeps in the UK??? It didn't cross your mind that they received this info already from SIN. Deb...a little too much tiome on your hands. I truly believe you love to see your comments/threads and directives all over the board and that in itself would be "conceited". K...Deb...palofmine...whichever you prefer...I have to ask....will you show us your picture from soundcheck, your pictures from the concert(s) and all the items you have received from Maroon 5 ALL under one thread....perhaps the "palofmine 411" thread. Under this thread you can post all your band updates, questions, answers to questions that SIN usually answers etc. I am being completely sincere when I suggest this as you have all the 411 about everything that goes on with M5. I think it would be quite useful to all of us if you had your own "lounge" so that when any of us are in doubt or need the info, it's all in one "palofmine" thread. Just give it some thought.

YOu want to 'dump' your cokkies,not install them. Go to your Internet Explorer, go to the tool bar and go to Interner Options. Click on Temporary Internet files and delete them, and do the same with the cookies and even the history. You should turn off your computer for a minute or two, then trun it back on. I"ve asked a few members on WUC and noone has a problem logging in. If you still do, let me know and I'll give you an alternate link.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to the DC show. Carl said it was better than Philly. I saw them on Saturday in Philly, then had a right hip replacement on Monday. The DC show was on Tuesday. When I first bought my sound check tickets, I got the one for Philly and when I went to get DC, the soundcheck was sold out. Good thing, I guess, since I didn't (at the time) know I'd be needing the hip surgery, though I'd have considered putting the surgery off if I'd had the sound check for both dates. Pretty sick fan, putting off surgery for a concert, wouldn't you say? haha

I'm sorry my comment was harsh. I tend to come across that way when I'm angry, but it had NOTHING to do with you. It is my favorite interview of all time, but it caused such a stir when it was first posted and some really horrible things were said about Adam and his girlfriend. It prompted Adam to write a tour diary about it. I know you meant well, but just don't be surprised if the thread gets deleted by the moderators because of the history.
