No, that's my only tattoo. I used to have a piercing on my belly button, but when I became pregnant it was either taking out or it being thrown off like a bullet at one point :P I have my ears pierced though.

To be honest the weather here’s been so gorgeous of late I don’t need to go away anywhere to get a tan. It’s crazy: almost this time last year I was freezing my ass off in the rain watching Chris Cornell (for the first time) and Aerosmith at Hyde Park with an equally soggy friend. I found the photo he took of me I look absolutely horrendous! – pale and scrawny, and I had jaw-length hair and a long fringe (never again!!). A year on: I’ve got Badmotorfinger in the stereo, I’ve grown a proper mane again and I’m sooo brown! (And it’s happened in England – wow!!) I’m a complete sunshine addict. One day I’m just gonna pack up and emigrate somewhere really hot where I can live happily barefoot all year round. *sigh*

The football World Cup was on, it was blissfully hot, and I was home alone doing my GCSE revision out in the garden … except that more often than not I’d just doze off face down in a page of notes. And I can vividly remember trying to watch every match and keep my football wall chart up to date… Studying for exams under conditions like that was just not going to happen! I did get an exceptional suntan though. :)
I thought Iron Man was good (and I’m not usually one for comic-book movies, aside from the first X-Men one, and Sin City). Robert Downey-Jr is just fabulous as an arrogant playboy – I like him better when he plays bad. ;) Did you spot Tom Morello’s cameo? (I think he had hair…?!) The more I think about it, the less I’m bothered about catching Carrie and co. on the big screen now; I kind of liked how they left it with her and Big at the end of the TV series. I loved how her face lit up when she saw his caller ID as her mobile phone began to ring. Next up on my movie wishlist is Angie’s new one ‘Wanted’. Shame about her sappy co-star James McAvoy, but he’s not the reason I’ll be watching anyway. Ms Jolie is going to have my full attention - I think she’s just amazing.
Well, good luck keeping the garden alive (and yourself dry!), knuckling down to your revision, and evening out your tan before the end of the month.

Stupid England couldn’t even qualify this time around – what’s that all about?? Grr. Hope the teams you’re supporting do well though.
Me, I’ve been mostly working on my tan. :) Us Brits get all excited when the sun makes a rare appearance, so I’m keeping an eye on the clear blue sky I can see atm and hoping I can get out there in my bikini later. I have embarrassing tanlines on my feet from living in flip-flops this past month – need to do something about that!
What’s it like over there at the moment? How are things with you? Hope you’re having a good weekend.

We had one tiny flurry after New Year’s, but it didn’t settle anywhere and got washed away by the rain in the evening. It snowed in April here one year though, so there’s always a chance! Christmas was hectic with lots of family comings and goings, but overall we laughed more than we squabbled (I think!), and I got sick around New Year’s so that was a lot more subdued. Never mind; it’s a new year and I have high hopes for 2008. Hope it’s a good one for you too! PS – I’ve heard of 'Cashmere Mafia.' It’s supposed to be like Sex and the City (I used to love that show! – Remember Carrie and Mr. Big in Paris in the final episode … aw!!) but with Lucy Lui, right? It’s not on here yet though. Have you seen any of it?

I’m scheduling Bruce in for this weekend, when I start wrapping presents probably. I thought I’d leant the Christmas music to my parents, but I found it last night and was doing my best breathy Ally McBeal impression of ‘Santa Baby’ (Oh god, I was terrible!) and sending annoyingly hyper text messages to anyone foolish enough to get in contact with me. So much fun! :D Can you believe it's Christmas in just 4 days time now?!! I have some cosy snow-boots for trudging through the pathetic 2-4” of snowfall we (might) get, if we’re lucky, but they’re not sexy-looking like yours. Ooh, I did see an incredible pair of knee-high black leather boots in a shop last week – they laced up at the front and had this crazy, slightly curved, vicious-looking metal heel. If I ever get tickets to see someone like Marilyn Manson I’m going back there to buy them! But for now: ‘Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!’ - Forget Maz; I need to dig out my old Christmas compilation CD and let Dean Martin croon away about sitting by an open fire watching the world turn white. Followed by Wham! - 'Last Christmas' and numerous other cheesy Xmas hits. Perfect. :)

How’d I manage that since July? *blushes* I always have too much to say I guess! You know, I would love to have one of those ‘movie perfect’ experiences where people are walking down a snowy street and going into shops to buy gifts, shaking the flakes off their coats and coming out laden with beautifully wrapped purchases – those kind of scenes make me all wistful to live somewhere that gets a ‘proper’ white Christmas every year. (I don’t think there were many like that in ‘Die Hard’ though! Possibly in ‘While You Were Sleeping’? – another favourite of mine. So cute!) I bet it must be beautiful downtown in winter. If you ever take a photo will you send it to me please?

You work with children, right? Well once they start getting excited about the countdown to Christmas day I bet you’ll find their enthusiasm infectious. Or when you get that new dress, of course ;) I hope your school workload does ease off a bit so that you have time to enjoy all the festive preparations. I have a bit of a tinsel fetish – when I was a kid I used to go and hide in it at the stores! – and I can’t wait until I can start hanging up glittery snowflakes and putting a little Santa’s hat on the usually fearsome Darth Maul figure who props up the books on one of my shelves! I’ll have to check when our last December payday is, but it’s usually just enough time for the novelty of having all the family together again to have worn off. Do you have a favourite Christmas movie? I always put on Die Hard to get that warm, tingly Christmas feeling (or maybe that’s just ‘cuz Bruce looks so damn fine in his dirty white vest?) I definitely recommend it!

Meeting/catching up with people; getting caught up in the festive spirit that’s already invaded London – we have Xmas lights up now, the ice rinks have opened and Knightsbridge is full of tourists determined to do all their shopping at Harrods. I love it!! I have two little silver hoops at the top of each ear, but when I do remember to put ‘proper’ earrings in lower down they’re usually just jewelled studs. I’m addicted to stuff that sparkles! I’ve been reading too much Elle magazine and now I want a cute party dress, and an event to wear it to. Must arrange cocktails with my friend and get glammed up in high heels and a short sweater-dress before it gets too cold! Don’t change your photo just yet; it’s lovely, and so perfect for winter. How are things in Canada? Do you have plans for the Holidays?

...is better than before :) Nis is a very nice and safe city and I'm loving it here at the moment. I graduated in April and since then, I've pretty much been chilling and getting part-time jobs now and then when I get low on cash. :) I'll probably be going to Norway for 3 months in November and that's my life at the moment. I've had an amazing summer and now it's settle-down time. :o)

Yeah, I found out a little later after reading a few posts about it. Thanks for letting me know though! I appreciate it. Yeah, Dropstones was just a jerk. I mean, at least Scuzz didn't pull any of this kind of crap. And he could be pretty nice, if someone would take the time to get to know him as a person a little better. The mean outer layer was really just a persona on here. He's actually a very nice guy, who has had family members in Katrina and has a wife and kids. It doesn't seem like it on here, but outside of this forum he's a pretty nice guy! Dropstones on the other hand just argues for the sake of arguing and isn't nice to ANYONE. I'm glad that he's gone from this forum though. He was starting to bug me.

They seriously need to get a life!! My b-day is Jan 25, although I'm not that fond of birthdays anymore! I've seen Chris 4 times in 4 months so far this year--April--July, in Austin, Nashville, Atlanta, and San Francisco. In October I'll see him in Vancouver, BC (first time ever in Canada!), then in Seattle, and Portland, and then back in Houston at the end of the month!!! 4 times in one month, that has to be a record of some kind, lol! Hey Memy... Ya I am of greek background... but I totally see myself as CANADIAN... very proud to be from this well balanced country... where the rest of the world knows how great people we are and the respect we get when we travel abroad... wouldn't trade it for anything! Most of my family is back in greece and it has been like 13 years since I have been back to visit them... things get so hectic as we get older... time is of the essence.. so to speak. What about you.... if I had to guess... I'd say even with your bubble gum bubble is blocking part of your face you look somewhat Italian.. perhaps portugease?? Am I close? I never had a chance to hit Danforth this year during greekfest.... I was up north in muskoka. a bunch of my buddies along with myself rented out a magnificent cottage for a week during the time of the festival. I spent my time fishing, kayacking, swimming, hicking drinking and doing other stuff too!!! Did you make it to Danforth.. if so how was it? Do you live in or near that oart of town? I made you a copy of the show chris did back on july 20.. I have material from his april 14th show... would you like that stuff on the cd also. Seeing as you live in Toronto we could meet somewhere and I could give you the dvd in person so you wouldn't have to pay for shipping. Take care let me know and keep in touch Zisis

Hey, it's nice to see some Canadians ! I had to add you. It's great, because we have around the same age and I don't know people in my surroundings of my age that like Chris as much as me. Two nights ago, I saw Alice in Chains with Velvet Revolver (my second time seing them). The show was badass by the way, they freaking kick my ass. Anyway, I talked to an hardcore AiC fan at the show who was as old as me, and I felt great, I felt normal, lol.
