Just dropping by to say hello!
Posted by Witty86 on Aug 16, 2009 12:17 PM (GMT-04:00)
I can't imagine a winter without snow! But of course, different side of the world, different climate. I'm studying arts administration, which is basically a combined major of art history and communications. I'll probably go to grad school so I can get into the museum field. Well, I didn't do much this summer. Just worked a lot. But the past couple of weeks have been exciting. I went to a folk festival, a Paul McCartney concert, and had my birthday party. Right now I'm in Vermont with my family. It is absolutely beautiful up here. I love the mountains. Take care!
Posted by Witty86 on Aug 15, 2009 12:23 AM (GMT-04:00)
It's definitely easy to feel dissatisfied with the present. What gets me through those moments is to just center myself - taking a few deep breaths, clearing my mind, etc. Afterwards it is much easier to focus on the things I do have rather than what I don't. Anyway, things are good in the western hemisphere (at least in my world)! College is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back in 2 1/2 weeks! I'm so passionate about my school, my major, and everything else I am involved with there. I don't think I've ever been happier in my life. But I mean, that happiness isn't totally wrapped up in what I do. I'm content with who I am as a person, and who I chose to be in my life. It's an amazing feeling, one that I keep trying to grow into :) Oh, and I am going on vacation tomorrow (hope I can get the internet up there, but it would probably be best if I didn't)! So what have you been up to lately? It's winter there, right?
Posted by Witty86 on Aug 11, 2009 10:23 PM (GMT-04:00)
Just wanted to say hi! We haven't really chatted on here in awhile, with the exception of some of the threads. I'm sorry things didn't work out with that girl :( But have no fear! You are an awesome, genuine, intelligent guy who will find the perfect woman in time. Heck, if you weren't in Australia I'd take you out for a coffee myself (or tea - selection is good)! I feel that in life, we go through all of these obstacles without knowing why, but then something happens and it all falls into place. As you know, I've also been in an unfortunate single situation, but deep down I know it's all for a reason. I just have to be patient and live in the present - enjoy my friends and family, focus on my education and work, etc. Anyway, hope all is well with you!

How are you? It's funny that you say that about prayer. I was just telling a good friend today that I haven't prayed in a long time (which maybe means like a week). I can always tell when I start to get away from it and "too busy". It's like I'm weak. I do miss working with teens. It's always a lot of fun! Nice to meet you. Take care.Joye
Posted by joyeanne on Jul 30, 2008 8:00 PM (GMT-04:00)
How are you? My name is Joye. I had read in your posts a few times that you are a christian. I am too. My church is an Evangelical Free church now. I was raised though in a Bible church. You had posted that you were on the youth pastoral team at your church. I used to teach Special Ed Junior High and High School. I want so bad to start some mission youth something. I'm just not sure what. Maybe teen moms. Take care. :)

Glad to hear from you . . . it's always nice to sit back and read new comments, especially when things get really busy for me. Sorry to hear about your relationship not working out. Hopefully another girl will work her way into your life! As for me, yes, I'm still with my boyfriend. It's been almost 6 years . . . crazy, huh?! So your job is treating you well then? Mine is too - and it's sooooo nice to have a paycheck every month. For the longest time I was so used to getting money from my parents. That's cool that you're still skating. I'd still be snowboarding if we had snow. I have to wait 7 months - that's the only bad thing about my sport. Well, I guess I'll let you go. Comment back whenever! :o)
Posted by straightjackt on May 7, 2008 2:29 AM (GMT-04:00)
Well, I'm happily gearing up for graduation. I am looking forward to summer and college, and I finally have a job at my local newspaper. With gas prices over here, it's so much better to have somewhat of an income! Right now I'm busy printing prom pictures, and that's about it. Glad to hear that things have been going well for you. Are you still with that girl you spoke so highly of last time we talked? What about your job - how is that treating you? And last but not least - any skateboarding or surfing???

Hello, I haven't browsed DC site for days 'cause my week is so hectic. Tests and class reports consumed my week and for the coming weeks too. Well, I have had thought about your question before, perhaps I'll end up as an economist or financial analyst someday. I could continue to a masteral/doctorate degree or law if I want to. Besides, our curriculum offers a lot of free electives so I can take a minor course on something else like marketing. Right now, I'm thinking 'bout shifting to Accountancy. Hmm... Good day! =D
Posted by blurred_hopes on Jan 12, 2008 9:08 AM (GMT-04:00)
was economics your course too? I took math last sem but I failed so I'm retaking it this sem, I think I'm improving at math now because if not it would be like "bye bye econ" (lol). Anyway, I'll be taking busi. stat & 2 econ subjects next sem and those are something to look forward to (pls wish me luck). I believe you're enjoying your work now, that's good to know. Enjoy life! (*_*)
Posted by blurred_hopes on Jan 10, 2008 10:57 AM (GMT-04:00)
school sucks! and I got no other option but to study... The worst thing is, I'm taking economics but I'm a math-flunk'er which is so ironic. I enjoy econ better than math so I think that's the difference. Haha, good day! =)

I'm pretty much bored today... I was suppose to start doing my homeworks but i'm not in my best mood yet, haha. Hopefully i could finish them all before their respective deadlines. How are you too? hope everything's fine...
Posted by straightjackt on Nov 28, 2007 8:52 PM (GMT-04:00)
All right, so first things first. Meeting The Spill Canvas was literally the highlight of my year. It was almost the equivalent of meeting Dashboard, which helped since I couldn't go to any of the shows during the past tour. Nick and the guys were really nice - they signed my CD and my shoe I love "The Tide" too. I actually was introduced to them through "All Hail the Heartbreaker," so that's definitely one of my favorites as well. Have you been to any good concerts lately? Anyway, glad to hear that work has been good. It's nice to have a job that you love, ya know? And for you to say "Wow, I almost did nothing today," that's pretty cool too, because you're getting paid to do nothing! ;-) Also, I'm so happy that you've finally found a girl who is going to treat you right. How long have you two been together? As far as school for me, it's going. There can be some really rough days, but I know I have to suck it up, graduate, and then life will be so much better. I'm still writing - I've decided that I'm definitely going to get into music journalism. I mean, how awesome would it be to combine my love for music and writing? I could interview bands, work at a magazine, etc. Well, at least that's what I'm hoping for! There's really nothing much else going on around here. Like I mentioned, it's getting really cold. But I'm not complaining, since that obviously means that snowboarding is right around the corner! I'm also really excited about Christmas, too. I love Christmas shopping for my family! Well, I'm gonna go grab a bite to eat, so hopefully I'll hear from you soon! :o)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Nov 26, 2007 12:02 AM (GMT-04:00)
That's awesome! I'm glad to hear that things are going well with your girlfriend. It's good that you're happy.
Posted by smarTchic4 on Nov 25, 2007 12:26 AM (GMT-04:00)
N2m is going on here. Pretty much just the same old stuff. How are things your way? I hope you get some rest.
Posted by smarTchic4 on Nov 21, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT-04:00)
How ya doing? I just wanted to say hey!
Posted by straightjackt on Nov 18, 2007 3:14 AM (GMT-04:00)
Glad to hear from you, finally! I'm sorry too! I noticed that you weren't around as much anyway, but I guess I know why now - you finally found a girl (who hopefully treats you right)! Well, there's nothing too new with me - just got over being sick. But the good news is, I got to meet The Spill Canvas, which was absolutely amazing! :-) Other than that, I'm just trying to keep up with everything going on during my senior year - it's crazy and I hate it! To say the least, my classmates' true colors came out, which is sad, and now we all practically dislike each other. But yeah, I'll get through it. Looking forward to the holidays and of course a break from school. So tell me about what else is going on - how's work, skating, and everything else?!

I would love to coincidentally run into Chris, all the while he was here in Melbourne I was wondering where he might be.. haha.

Man, that stinks that you broke your hand. I hope it gets better soon. Not much is new my way. I'm just busy with school, work, etc. I got a job as a math tutor at the college though. It's a good experience to prepare me for being a teacher... I agree TSOPT isn't quite places, but I still love it too. The title track and Clean Breaks are my current faves. Take Care!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Sep 28, 2007 9:12 PM (GMT-04:00)
How are you doing bud? I just thought I'd say hello since I haven't talked to you in a while. I've been sooo busy. I'm rarely on the site anymore. I just got the new cd today. It is awesome! I love it! So did you pre-order TSOPT?

Hey Josh. I'm doing good. I had fun last weekend too. I got to see alot of old friends and stuff. Summer's treatin me good. I've been pretty busy. That's why I haven't been on in awhile. I probably won't be on much so don't feel abandoned if I don't message ya much lol :) Well, I hope all is well with you!
Posted by straightjackt on Jul 11, 2007 7:10 PM (GMT-04:00)
Thanks for reminding me that I am a senior . . . it's such a relief, you don't even know!!! I have to get up at 7:30 tomorrow - wish me luck! The only good news is that Dash will be on PBS - I've been waiting all summer for that! Glad to hear that you treated yourself to a new skateboard. Plus, the spare for me = how nice of you! Now I'm even more excited for you to teach me how to skate! Actually, I can picture it now - you'll be laughing at me while I fall on my face. And I'll be completely embarrassed :-/ Yeah, don't worry, once this online college course is over, my summer will be much better. Today is pretty much my last day - soooooooooo exciting! Hahaha I think I managed to get a B or A for the final grade. Of course, I'm hoping for the A. Well, hope it gets sunny in Australia - it's been really hot here lately, but today it's raining. Have fun skating if you get to go! If not, have fun sleeping ;o)
Posted by straightjackt on Jul 7, 2007 3:40 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm good, I'm good - how bout yourself? Summer is FLYING BY! It's already July and I have one more month left until I return to school for my senior year. Well - it is my senior year, so that's good! ;-) Or ace!!! Hahahah now I'm using your language! Wow - sleeping in until after 12? I usually don't sleep that long, so it looks like you're beating my record! :oP I had to get up at 9 yesterday and it really took all I had to get out of bed and straighten my hair and all that. Yeah, I saw your little skateboarding trick - it looked pretty dang awesome, if you ask me! You'll have to teach me that sometime <LoL> I have nothing really going on this weekend, but my next week is jam-packed with dentist appointments, meetings at the school. Blah. I just want to forget about all this stuff for once!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jul 4, 2007 3:51 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey buddy! No prob about not msging. Sometimes I don't either, so don't worry about it. That's cool that you're on holiday. I know you're happy for the break. Yeah my summer is going fine. It's hard to believe you're having winter when it's summer here. Are you gonna try snowboarding again? So it's cool that you got to skate a little. Sounds fun... I'm going to that religious convention thing I think I told you about. I'm sure I will have fun, I usually do. Well take it easy Josh :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jul 3, 2007 4:52 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Josh, how's it going? I just thought I'd give ya a lil shout since I'm leaving this Friday. I won't be able to chat with you for a couple days :( But it is only a few days. So n2m is new here. My niece and nephew are coming to spend a week with us soon. They're 11 and 6. I haven't seen them in a while so it'll be good to visit with them. What's new with you?
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 30, 2007 5:13 PM (GMT-04:00)
"Your summer break so far sounds alot not like a break at all!" ------> Tell me about it! :-( That's awesome that you start holidays ~ good for you! I'm sure you definitely need a break! Sleepin' in like me? Good, good! You're learning! :o) I've been sleeping in until 11 every day, at least! Hahahaha I promise you that if you try snowboarding it may actually compete with your skating - who knows, you may want to board all the time! I just can't believe that it's almost 90 around in the States and there you are in Australia with snow!!!! Welp, hope you have fun catching up with those friends of yours . . . take it easy and have fun!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jun 29, 2007 4:13 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Josh! How are you? Sorry I haved msged you back, I haven't been on lately. Man, shelf checking does sound very mind numbing. Hope you made it through :) Too bad snowboarding didn't work out, that would've been fun. But, relaxation does sound great!... I probably won't be in my friend's bridal party, she wants to have a small wedding. We are pretty close but we're not really BEST friends. But I'm really happy for her. Her husband-to-be is a really nice guy. They mesh well :) So is you break here yet, or are you still counting down the days?
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 28, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT-04:00)
Sorry if my ugliness was exposed :-( <LoL> I was afraid if I posted my picture you would stop talking to me! J/K! Summer is going great for me, actually. The only problem is - I still feel like I'm in school because I'm so busy! All these meetings and internships . . . I need to learn to give myself a break! My internship is going pretty good - only one more month left, though, and then I have to put it all together for a big project. Long story. What have you been doin during your vacay days? Skating? Or snowboarding? Hahahaha you still owe me a snowboarding day . . .
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 23, 2007 7:48 PM (GMT-04:00)
So now you know what I look like, eh? I saw that you posted that I'm not what you were expecting, but I'm wondering if that's a good or bad thing <LoL> Anyway I really have nothing new or interesting to tell you about . . . I've been feeling really lazy lately. I did get to go swimming the other day, then I spent the night at my friend's house. Tonight my parents are having a little party so I'm going to have to entertain some guests. Hope you're having a good weekend, or maybe it's over by the time you read this?!
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 20, 2007 4:36 PM (GMT-04:00)
Yeah, kind of. I mean, I'm only going to be there for 6 weeks, but going from my little town in the middle of nowhere to the city of Boston is quite a transition. It's going to be amazing though. One of the parties was cancelled today because it is raining. I'm actually glad though. I need a break and plus, I stayed up waaay too late talking to my friend last night so I'm exhausted (we hadn't talked in weeks, so it's justified). I think I'll watch my unplugged dvd alone in my room and then later possibly do some summer homework. It sounds lonely, I know, but I love having time to myself once in awhile.
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 20, 2007 1:35 AM (GMT-04:00)
Don't even worry about it. I know what it's like to be busy. Haha. Today was my "free" day, which really means I ran around with my mom buying stuff I need for BU. Then from tomorrow to Sunday is a long stretch of parties and a graduation. Should be fun. Thats really cool that you can just be there for the students at the school, like a friend/mentor. Our librarian is pretty nice too, but he is much, much older. He is very intelligent though and has basically seen the whole world so it's not hard to start a good conversation with him. Well, I have lots more cleaning to do before I go to bed, so I must be off to accomplish that. Talk to you later!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jun 19, 2007 4:52 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hi Josh, so you sound pretty busy. That's a change at work, huh? :) My weekend was fine. I just found out my friend is engaged, her fiance asked her Friday. She's really excited... Well the religious convention is the "Follow The Christ" District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses and a bunch of congregations from different areas come to hear the program each day. It's three days that we go. The one I'm going to is about 3hrs away. It's usually fun... So your break's almost here! Keep counting down the days :) I know you can't wait for a break. I can't remember if you told me already, but do you have any plans for your two week break?
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jun 17, 2007 2:21 AM (GMT-04:00)
Yeah, I thought it was a cool idea too. It's a good way to get your house cleaned :) I didn't have too much planned for this weekend either, just the usual stuff. No huge plans for the summer. I am going to a religious convention in July, but not too much is planned for my break. I know your excited about your break coming up soon. Hopefully you'll get to sleep in too :P ... Well I guess I'll chat wit ya later :)
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 16, 2007 5:55 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hello there, Josh! I just woke up from a fun day at an amusement park yesterday! We didn't get home until 2 in the morning, so I'm very tired. I rode a whole bunch of rollercoasters, so it was pretty fun. Anyway, I hope you have a relaxing weekend ~ you really should stay in your pj's, though ~ it's more comfy! <LoL> Yeah speaking of the relationship department - you need to find yourself a nice girlfriend!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I sometimes have our fights, but of course I'm always the one to call and try to work things out. Sometimes he's really stubborn - that's what I don't like about his personality. So, word of advice - don't be stubborn! ;-) AND GET SOME SLEEP! Hahahaha
Posted by pleasenotice on Jun 16, 2007 3:20 AM (GMT-04:00)
I'm studying Commercial art right now. It's mostly fine art, but it's got some illustration and graphic design mixed in in case i can't find a job, hehe. Are you studyin' somethin' in college?
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 16, 2007 1:21 AM (GMT-04:00)
Our year is broken up into 4 quarters. Two quarters is a semester. The only breaks (besides summer) that we have are a week and a half for Christmas, a week in Feb. (just randomly, I don't know why) and a week in April for spring break. I think being a librarian would be a fun job. I love reading and everything. And learning. And duh, you're constantly surrounded by books! So you work in a high school? Whenever a young person works/subs at my school students don't see them as an authority figure. Do you run into that? I'm done for the year! My french exam wasn't so bad. And I just got back from a friend's birthday party at the town lake. So much fun. I love laying on the dock and watching the sun set. I have 4 parties next week including my own. It's going to be so busy. I still have soooo much stuff to do before I leave. Ugh. Hope you had an excellent day!
Posted by pleasenotice on Jun 14, 2007 2:43 PM (GMT-04:00)
yep, sure am! in fact, i should probably add that to my profile, lol. I'm actually going to a Chritian college too!
Posted by pleasenotice on Jun 14, 2007 4:11 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey there! thanks for adding me as your friend! i just noticed that you are a Christian too! that's cool. and i like the advice you give on the relationship boards! drop me a comment sometime! later!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Jun 14, 2007 3:55 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey! I'm glad you had a fun weekend. That's good that you're feeling better too. Second place is awesome! I knew you had some cool skater moves :) So it was cold, huh? Good thing you had your thermals then :) I had a good weekend and summer break is nice. I like getting to sleep in a little bit. But I'm tired tonight cuz I spent all day cleaning my cousin's house. The one that's pregnant had a "cleaning party" where a bunch of the family went up and cleaned her and her husband's whole house so it will be fresh before the baby comes. It was a lot of work but we had a nice dinner afterwards :) So, what are your plans for the week/weekend? The usual?
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 13, 2007 7:02 PM (GMT-04:00)
So, if its Wednesday afternoon here right now, is it Thurdsday morning there? I can't imagine a summer vacation in December/January. Everything is backwards! I just remember seeing Nicole Kidman on tv once and she was talking about when she is in the States during our summer she begins to think that it's Christmas time. haha. So do you guys have anything fun during your winter? Like, we have the holidays and I think thats the only good thing about the season. And how cold does it actually get there? Anyway, our summer vacation is from about mid June to late August/ early September. Or even late May to mid August. It varies in different parts of the country. But overall, vacation is 2 1/2 months - 3 months long. I have two more days (3 exams) and I'm done for the year. While I'm in Boston, I will be taking a psychology course and a philosophy course. I have no idea what I actually want to study in college. I don't have to declare a major until junior year, and I think I need time to figure out who I am and what I'm passionate about first. It's a big decision. But even if I don't persue it, I would love to continue in French language, just to have that skill, ya know? Plus, I want to study abroad in Paris for a semester at some point.
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 12, 2007 8:56 PM (GMT-04:00)
Thats so weird that you guys have winter while we have summer. I mean, I can understand it and all, but its strange to comprehend. So do you get any sort of break from school? Like, in our winter, your summer? Please excuse me if thats a stupid question, I just don't know much about Australia other than its supposed to be really beautiful. Anyway, this thing at BU is sort of a college sampler, I guess. Like, I still have one more year of high school left after this summer, but before that, I am spending 6 weeks in college. I'm not technically a BU ungraduate though. I was accepted into their summer program, but thats it. The credits I earn there, however, do count towards my college GPA and can transfer over to any other university (I'm earning 8 credits which is almost a full semester). Ah, I'm so excited! Boston is a great city as well, so I'm pretty sure there will always be something to do.
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 12, 2007 6:56 PM (GMT-04:00)
Yeah, it kinda stinks that I have homework to put up with, but at least I know that it's gonna cut me some slack once I get into college. It'll essentially be one less course I have to take, ya know? I try to be a model student . . . well, actually I don't try, that's just the way I've always been <LoL> My weekend was okay - I kinda stayed in my pj's all day hahahahaha ~ oh well! CONGRATS on the skate comp - 2nd place, very impressive!!!!!
My internship is going very well - I'll be going again this Wednesday, so I'm sure it'll seem less awkward, and I'll feel more comfortable. That's so sad that your girlfriend had to dump you at such an unconvienent time!!!!! I'm sorry :-( Luckily things have been going well for my boyfriend and I, even though I don't get to see him that often since he's working and stuff. So yeah, that's really weird that it's winter in Australia and summer where I live . . . but I'm sure you will be an expert boarder soon! ;-)
Posted by Witty86 on Jun 11, 2007 11:19 PM (GMT-04:00)
So you wrote me a comment about a month ago but I just saw it. I'm so sorry! Life is so crazy lately. But to answer your question, I'm good. Just wrapping up the school year and preparing to spend the summer at Boston University (so excited!). And yourself?

Hey Josh, my exams went well. I think I did good on them all. I am glad they're over though :) I get a couple months off for summer vacation, but I am gonna take one summer class in the 2nd summer session. But I'm glad summer's here... Well I'm glad you're at least functioning :) Hopefully you'll get better real soon. Rest up and feel better :)! ttyl

Well, let's see - my first day as an intern was kind of awkward at first, but then I ended up having a lot of fun. I got a tour of the building, where they showed me how they manufacture over 14,000 newspapers, which was pretty cool. I was only there for 2 1/2 hours, but next Wednesday I'll go back again. Today my mom registered me for an online early college course so get this: I have homework during my summer vacation! :-( I'm not too too happy about that, but oh well, I guess. Yeah, it's pretty sad that I'm older than my sister and I let her dictate my actions <LoL> Anyway I think we have a deal - you teach me how to skate, I'll teach you how to snowboard! I think you'll get the hang of it VERY quickly, but you'll have to make sure you dress warm. The worst thing is, when they are making snow, the fake snow blows right into your face while you're going down the hill and it almost blinds you! But yeah, I've heard of Shaun White, and he is pretty awesome. He can definitely pull off the red hair, too! :oP

Hey Josh, how's it going? Yeah I've been busy with exams and stuff, so I haven't been on for a while. My weekend went well. Sorry to hear you were sick last weekend. How are you feeling now? Much better, I hope. You should have a fun weekend with the youth games. It sounds like alot of fun. I only have one more exam tomorrow, and then its summer break! I'm so excited. This weekend I'm going to my other cousin's baby shower. I tell ya, everyone's having babies :) Plus two of my other cousins are graduating tonight. I'm gonna try to go to that too. Well, I'll chat with ya later! ;)
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 6, 2007 3:55 PM (GMT-04:00)
You're so creative ~ always coming up with good titles! So what are you up to today? As for me, I'm starting my internship at the paper I work at, then it's back home to work with my new laptop. I'm really excited about it because I can spend as much time on the computer as I want without my sister over my shoulder. But guess what? She's not the oldest - I AM! I'm 3 years older <LoL> I loved your skating story ~ here I thought you've been skating since you were 10 or something?! But that's okay, I'm sure you're still awesome, AND you can play the guitar AND sing! Geeeeeez you've got it goin on! ;-) I'm really not as athletic as my sister, but I love playing soccer and snowboarding - those are my two sports. I'm thinking that if you were to teach me I wouldn't be thatttttttt bad just because I've had some snowboarding experience, and I'm actually pretty decent! I just thought - you and Carrabba actually have a lot in common! I guess I'm off to shower and get ready for this afternoon . . . talk to you soon, and have a great day!
"its just about rolling :)" >>>> that should be your signature on this site! hahaha
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 5, 2007 4:43 PM (GMT-04:00)
Actually, yes, we do have a daylight savings time over here as well. It gets dark around 9, I think. I don't pay that much attention <LoL> You should seriously teach me how to skate ~ when I was little I did have a skateboard but it was too difficult to teach myself. Add to the fact that my sister always tried to push me off so I could land on the pavement and bleed?! So how did you first start skating? Do you have a lot of skate parks over there?
Posted by straightjackt on Jun 4, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT-04:00)
Nothing much, but I haven't talked to you in awhile! Summer is finally here for me, so I'm soooooooooo excited! What about you???
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 31, 2007 8:01 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hey there! Yeah it was a fun weekend. My speech went fine. I owned it like nobody's business, hehe. I'm glad it's done though. I just have final exams next week then it's summer break baby! :) I can't wait to have a break from all the homework and stuff. So winter's a comin' huh? The heat's a comin' here, hehe... So you msged me from home? Wow! Haha, you do usually msg from work. So what's yur plans for the weekend?
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 31, 2007 2:47 AM (GMT-04:00)
I figured you'd respond eventually :P Yeah my sister did come, then my other older sister came with her two kids too. It was good to see my niece and nephew. We went to a few cookouts last weekend too. My aunt had one, and my cousin had one too. They both had some good eatin' :D But it was a good weekend... Man, you do stink! haha j/k hey at least you weren't last :) It's all for fun anyways, right? Winning isn't everything. I'm glad you had a good time. Well I have to go finish my speech for my class tomorrow so I'll t2yl :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 24, 2007 3:39 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey-ya! So you had an interesting time with that group, that's cool. Yeah I got a start on a couple of my papers, but I still have many more to do :( Yeah I'll probably do just the usually stuff too. The only thing is my sister's coming down to visit. Well, tell me how your trivia night goes. Have a nice weekend :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 23, 2007 2:24 AM (GMT-04:00)
Haha hey. How ya doing? Yes. Kids are best when you can give them back. That's the joy of it :) I'm glad you had fun with the rollerblading thing. No major plans for this weekend. I got like a ton of papers to write for school though :( But one of my older sisters is coming to town with her bf. It'll be nice to see her. How bout you? Got any crazy plans?
Posted by straightjackt on May 21, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT-04:00)
Me = more boring! I've been sitting around all day in my pajamas <LoL> The shopping went good ~ believe it or not, we went with a light purple. My mom and I were saying that we should have stuck with the light blue, but it's too late now, so all we can do is hope that it looks nice. I agree with you, though - the feature walls always look really awesome. That's why I can't wait to have my own house; I can paint and decorate it however I want it, plus I'll probably have a DC room! Hahaha ~ that'd be toooo awesome! Do you have any shows you plan on going to in the future? I looked at some of my favorite bands' web pages today and found that some are playing near me, so that's pretty exciting. Should be a good summer for me!
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 21, 2007 9:26 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hey there! I'm good. How are you today? My lil cuz was great. He's so adorable. I took some pics of him and put 'em on my ipod :) He's sweet. That's cool that you got to see your little cousins too. I'm sure they're really cute. Sounds like you had fun watching Herbie Fully Loaded with them. I saw that with my little sister. I like when kids are really open and friendly, they're so much fun to be around :) So did you still have fun Saturday?Yeah I figured you'd like skateboarding more than rollerblading. I'd probably go with the skateboarding too... Too bad you didn't make any friends yet. Maybe you will get to know some people Wednesday :) Well I hope you have a GREAT week! :D
Posted by straightjackt on May 20, 2007 2:46 PM (GMT-04:00)
Seems like I haven't commented you in awhile - I'm sorry! Well, the weekend is almost over, but I've decided that I'm skipping school tomorrow! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I just need a day off ~ I think I deserve it! Anyway, today is also a busy day. I have to go to my cousin's baby shower, then shopping with my parents. They added a new room to the house and they're letting me paint and decorate it. So we have to go shopping to pick out a nice color ~ I was thinking a nice light blue ~ what do you think?
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 19, 2007 6:55 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hey! I don't have too much planned for this weekend. Just the usual, but my cousin is gonna come down with her husband and new baby :) I can't wait to see Dominic in person. They're supposed to come today, so hopefully they make it. So did ya make some new friends? It sounds like you had a good trip.
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 17, 2007 9:59 PM (GMT-04:00)
Thanks. I'd be glad to teach you math any time :) My week went ok. I don't really have any plans for this weekend. How about you? How was your week? That's good your car's fine. Hopefully it serves you well. I hope you're getting some sleep, but I know what you mean. I'm busy all the time too and sleep just isn't always at the top of the list. So how'd your random adventure go? Hope all went well and you had fun :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 16, 2007 2:05 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Josh, still not sleepin much huh? I think you better add that to your agenda :) How'd the race go? Was it any good? So you took your car for its 1st service. How'd it go?... Yeah I will have to use my power carefully as a teacher. I probably won't give a ton of homework though cuz I know what it's like to do it all. Hopefully the kids will still think I'm a pretty cool teacher even if I do give some homework ;)... Yeah I had a busy weekend. I was so tired when I got home, I just wanted to sleep. So how was your weekend?
Posted by straightjackt on May 15, 2007 6:49 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm all right . . . just got home from a half day at school, and I just feel like taking a nice long nap!!!!!! Glad to hear that your mom loved her soap despenser ~ cute idea! My mom is dying to know my plans for the play ~ I've been giving her clues and what not, but I know she won't figure it out. Wait - so you guys in Australia are getting ready for winter? That is really crazy! But yeah, I don't have any HUGE summer plans - I have a lot of school meetings for yearbook and senior class to attend, senior pictures to take, hopefully a few concerts, and some amusement parks. Ohhh - plus I'm doing an internship. Should be fun!!! So you're watching the first season of Friends?! Don't worry, I'm stuck on Dawson's Creek, some may consider that a little old school?! :-P How's the job going? Did you get all your work done? Believe it or not, my "To-Do List" is narrowing down, since we only have about 14 days of school left! That's such a relief. Right now as I'm typing I bet you're surfing or something ~ I wish I were doing that! Hahahahaha
Posted by straightjackt on May 14, 2007 9:01 PM (GMT-04:00)
How was the weekend? Did your mom enjoy her day? I bought my mom a movie, took her out to dinner, and on June 2 we're going to a play. And let's see - June 2 is the first day of my summer vacation . . . I really can't wait! I kinda skipped my softball game this afternoon - I just need some more rest and relaxation. Shhhhhhhhh - don't tell, though! So what have you been up to? Right now I'm eating a delicious bowl of Mac n Cheese ~ time for seconds! Talk to you soooooooooooon, I hope! :-P
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 13, 2007 3:08 AM (GMT-04:00)
Sorry I didn't comment in a couple days. I've been kinda busy. I've been in and out of town this weekend. Today I was gone and tomorrow I'll be gone again too. My homework went fine. I'm glad you finished your laminating... Yeah no homework will be awesome, but I'll be the one giving the homework then :) That's really cool that you like hanging out with your little sis. Family's really important. I think we realize that more as we get older. So how are you doing? Are you getting any sleep yet?
Posted by straightjackt on May 11, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT-04:00)
You're already starting your weekend! I have one more day left of school. I can't believe it's Mother's Day already; I have to go out and buy my mom some stuff. I do owe her alot since she saved my life twice within 2 minutes, right?! And yes, I have mastered the art of eating hard candy . . . but hopefully I didn't just jinx myself!!!!!!! :-O
Posted by straightjackt on May 10, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT-04:00)
Josh, Josh, Josh! That is tooooooo funny! So now I know the story behind your swimming troubles . . . my turn now, right? Well, let's see! Did you know that when I was little I choked on a piece of candy and my mom had the do the heimlech ~ well, about a minute later I decided that I was gonna try to eat the same candy again but without choking. And guess what? That's just what I did! HA! Anyway, I've been so busy with softball and homework. To be honest, it's been getting pretty old, but at least tomorrow is Thursday - that sounds good to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 8, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT-04:00)
Hahaha, hey Josh :)Yeah not much is up here. I 'm just working on some projects and stuff for school. It seems like I always have homework, but o well. So how are things your way? You better start getting some rest buddy. Laminating is not fun in large quantities :) Hope you get it all done... I got a new picture of the baby. He's so cute. I can't wait to go see him in person. They live like a couple hours away, so I don't know when I'll get to go up... Yeah I have a little sister too. Actually I have a HUGE family and a bunch of cousins and nieces and nephews and stuff. I usually babysit alot. I'm always around kids. I think that has a little do with why I want to be a teacher :) k I gotta go do some more school work. Hope you sleep a little :)
Posted by straightjackt on May 7, 2007 11:54 PM (GMT-04:00)
Same ol' same ol' here too . . . so now it's time for you to tell me something I don't know about you! <LoL> I just got home from a softball game, and now I have to write 2 papers . . . tomorrow and Wednesday I have field trips, so I get to skip two days of school! I guess that's a good thing; I need a break!
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 7, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT-04:00)
What's the dizzle my nizzle? lol How's it going? I'm fine thanks. My weekend was ok. I babysat my little cousin Saturday. He talked me to death about his video games and wanted me to watch him play sonic and stuff. He's funny I love the lil guy :) So did ya finish your book yet? That kinda stinks that your fave author is dead and you won't get to read anything new from him. I know you love to read. That's cool that you got to skate. Were you showin off your sweet skating skils? :) Well, I g2g do some homework so I'll catch ya later dude :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 7, 2007 2:38 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Joshy! :P How's it going? Did you have a good weekend? Yeah my cousin had her baby on May 2nd. He is adorable. His name is Dominic James. She and her husband are so excited. So your cousin is having a baby too. Yeah, I suppose that definitely was not planned. My cousin's 22 so I think she was ready. I hope things go ok for your cousin and his girlfriend even if it's not the best situation. Uh-oh was a good way to put it. :)
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 3, 2007 2:36 AM (GMT-04:00)
your friend actually got a strike with that shot? whoa that's pretty cool. we have a bowling alley that has those lights too. it is cool. sounds like you and your friends have alot of fun with those lights :) that pedal for your guitar sounds really cool. i'm sure it sound great. not much is going on here either. my cousin is in the hospital because her water broke. she didn't have the baby yet, but we're still waiting. i'm real excited to see the baby when he comes. besides that, nothing's new.
Posted by smarTchic4 on May 2, 2007 1:25 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Josh, I'm fine. How r u? I'm glad you had a good weekend. Bumming is great, isn't it? :) Yeah you do sound like an aweful bowler lol j/k it's ok, you're still cool in my book :) I'm bad too. But yeah, we had alot of fun. It was really crowded but we had so much fun. My friends are crazy so we just goofed around and stuff. One of my friends was trying out her own bowling moves like backwards and stuff. But it was a good night. So is anything new going on?
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 30, 2007 11:50 PM (GMT-04:00)
Well, I've got one day down. I had so much going on, and already I feel as if I'm losing my mind. Oh - and a blood drive benefits the Red Cross - people give blood to help others. It's a good thing! ;-) Teacher's Appreciation Week was off to a good start - it's mainly we are supposed to appreciate them, but many of the students at my HS do just hte opposite! HA! Oh well . . . most of the teachers at my school are very nice to me! Anyway, I've gotta get some more work done and I have to manage to find time to eat! Adios, amigo!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 27, 2007 9:52 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm proud of you - no more comments from me after your comments for me. Get that?! Hahaha Well, Friday was good, but it was such a long day. It's still not over yet, but at least I'm home from school. I don't have any plans this weekend, but next weekend I have something planned for EVERY SINGLE DAY. Prom, blood drive, softball games, Teacher Appreciation Week, etc. etc. etc. That's why I'm pulling another "relax-weekend" because by next week, I already know that I'm going to be extremely exhausted, so don't feel bad if I don't respond to your comments right away. Just stay out of jail and listen to some Dashboard ;-)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Apr 27, 2007 6:52 PM (GMT-04:00)
How's it going? Everything fine here. I just got my shots again :( but i'm already starting to get used to them. It's really not all that bad, just kinda annoying. I'm glad you had an ok weekend. Anything going on this weekend? I'm gonna go bowling with some friends on Saturday. It should be fun. I stink at it, but I like to just play for fun anyway :) We usually have a great time just goofing around. Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend =D
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 27, 2007 3:09 AM (GMT-04:00)
Let's see, I'm pretty much the student teachers love . . . they would kiss my feet if I asked them to. JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!! Our softball team is currently 7-1 and I have helped with that record by sitting on the bench :-( oh well?! Doggy paddle? Doggy paddle? I don't believe it! C'mon, if you can sing and play guitar, I'm sure you can move your arms and legs and swim, silly! Nothing is really new here either, but it sounds like you're having fun at work. Watch out for those Co. Laws, or you could be leaving me comments from jail! :oP Anyway I'll try to check out the movie after I'm done with my piles of homework. Actually, I don't have any tonight!!! So I'm off to bed . . .
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 26, 2007 3:43 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hahahaha I was wondering if you were mocking me! JUST KIDDING! Don't feel bad, it's 11 at night here and I'm extremely tired. You're right, I always have homework. It's not necessarily homework, just huge projects that I get into voluntarily - MY BAD! The softball games have been going well, we have only lost 1 game so far, so I'm sure we'll make it to the play-offs! Your comments about swimming with dolphins and swimming in general really made me laugh . . . thanks! ;-) Seriously, though, I don't think dolphins are that dangerous! You should take my word for it and go swimming with them really soon <LoL> I can't believe how fast this week has gone - it's already going to be Thursday, and soon Friday ~ what a relief! But then again, you're only one day away from the weekend ~ maybe I should migrate to Australia for awhile just so I can get a head-start on my weekends! Just kidding . . .
Posted by smarTchic4 on Apr 25, 2007 1:00 AM (GMT-04:00)
hey, my weekend was fine, how was yours? yeah it was a tense day. i have to get two allergy shots each week. it stinks, but hey i can deal... i've been kinda bumming though, cause my friends from germany came to visit, but i didn't get to see them :( they're cool guys and i just wanted to see how they were. but i think they're coming back this summer so hopefully i'll see them then... so your friend calls you jd, huh? maybe i should call you jd too :) man that show is hilarious. so did you find that diagram of a guinea pig? well i hope you get some rest bud. talk to ya later :)
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 23, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT-04:00)
Summer is awesome. It doesn't get toooo hot here, but it's just really nice to be able to swim and all that. Do you swim a lot? Or surf or snorkel? <LoL> I really want to swim with dolphins, have you ever done that?! Don't feel bad about being so tired - I am too! I got to sleep in today, somewhat, but I don't think that helped too much. I have 4 softball games this week, so I'm sure that'll take most of my energy away. Anyway, nothing is really new here. Just getting ready to take a quick shower and finish some economics homework! And oh yeah - I did uphold my promise - I was veryyyyyyyy lazy this weekend. Sat home and did absolutely nothing ;o)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Apr 21, 2007 3:06 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey Josh! I'm fine, how r u? So you like scrubs? That's cool that you got the dvds, that show is hilarious. I don't really watch it regularly, but I watch it every once in awhile. It always has me laughing though. JD and Turk are quite the duo :) ... Not much is going on here either. I had a busy day because I had to go get my allergy shots at 7:30am, take my sister to her doctor's appointment at 10am, and then we both had an appointment with the eye doctor at 4pm. So it was alot of running everyplace. But, I'm getting a new pair of glasses, so I guess that was the highlight of my day... yeah obviously my life's been pretty boring too =D So, I hope you get some rest :P Talk to you soon!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 20, 2007 9:11 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm a terrible one-hand typer as well! So far, my weekend is off to an okay start. I just can't wait to relax, watch some TV, download a few songs . . . and whatever else happens to come up! How's the weather down in Australia? It's finally getting nice again! I'm just so anxious for summer to get here and for me to be a senior and graduate!!!!!!!!
Posted by ItsYaBoyJReag on Apr 20, 2007 6:00 AM (GMT-04:00)
Hey man, what's going on? Dude, I lost your email a few weeks back. My computer crashed, and I lost everything. :( I hate OLD computers. But yeah dude, hit me back up sometime up there, it's email@example.com, just in case you forgot. Haha, take it easy!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 19, 2007 10:42 PM (GMT-04:00)
thanks for the language lesson! you're a great teacher <LoL> so the 'ace' thing is just a josh thing? well don't worry, if I use it here in the states I'll say that my friend josh from australia made it up! :o) As far as the shootings, there is still a lot of investigation going on at the moment, and everyone is pointing fingers, so who knows if any new laws will be enforced. If anything, I think the people would want campuses to have a more strict lockdown or something. Anyway, I'm so glad that tomorrow is Friday. But by then, you're already in to Saturday!!!!! I don't have too many plans for the weekend, maybe I'll just lounge around!? :oP And oh yeah - I got 3/4 of my writings done - thats what I'm going to work on now!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 18, 2007 8:44 PM (GMT-04:00)
"i hope things are ace" ~ so do you use that line in Australia a lot? I've actually never heard it before . . . but I should start using it, huh? We need some Australian slang in the States! :o) Well, I just got home from school. It was an okay day - but all I keep hearing about is the Virginia Tech massacre. Did that news reach Australia as well? It's really sad! Anyway, good luck with the girls - I promise that you will find someone, and when you do, she'll be extremely lucky! So just keep your eyes open!!!!!! How's work going? Hopefully good! I have so many writings to get done tonight for my school newspaper and yearbook and I have softball practice in a half hour. Oh well! Have a great day!

What's up Bro!!!Nice to meet you, hope we could be best friend!!! Go run your life !!!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Apr 18, 2007 1:12 AM (GMT-04:00)
it's good to hear from you. i'm glad you had a good break. hey there's nothing better than loafing on your break. everyone needs some time to just relax, right? i'm glad you're enjoying the new car. i'm sooo jealous! =D but, i'm sure it's awesome :) and like i said you deserve it, you seem to be a hard worker. well, nothing's new here, just school, work, and the like. so i'll catch ya later!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 16, 2007 8:48 PM (GMT-04:00)
Let's see - judging by the picture I saw of you, you have looks on your side. And if you wanna get girls - just have a sense of humor and a sensitive side. Plus, it doesn't hurt to be loyal and trustworthy, which I'm sure you would have no problem being. AND better yet - you play guitar right? ALL girls love when a guy can play a guitar, and if you can sing - EVENNNNNN BETTER! So there are my tips for you to get some girls! ;-)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Apr 12, 2007 4:49 AM (GMT-04:00)
hey how's it going? i haven't talked to you in a while so i thought i'd say hey! how do you like your car? i hope all is well :)
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 11, 2007 8:47 PM (GMT-04:00)
Good to hear from you! You sound as if you're in good spirits - that's awesome that you have a job that you actually like. A lot of people dread going to work each day, and I never want to be one of those people ~ my plan is to be paid for what I'm good at and what I love! Anyway, did you pick up any new girls with that new car of yours? I bet you did! ;-) Hahaha! Hmmm I'm trying to think - nothing is really new with me - just the same old stuff - school, sports, writing, family time . . . and that's about it!
Posted by straightjackt on Apr 2, 2007 1:39 AM (GMT-04:00)
I was wondering when you were gonna come around my page again! It's okay though ~ at least it didn't take you over a week or something to figure out that it was your turn to write me back! :-P The weekend is over for me, but it was pretty good. I wrote an article that I needed to get done, played volleyball with some friends, and shopped. Better than sitting around doing nothing . . . so have you been cruising in your shiny new car? I don't have a car yet, but I think my parents are getting me one, and I have the feeling that it's supposed to be a surprise?! I can't believe Easter is here in a week. I have 4 softball games this week; I think I may skip out on two of them though - do you think I should or shouldn't? I mean, I'm not an essential part of the team - for goodness sakes, I just warm the bench! Uhhhh I don't know what to do, I just think I'm gonna be worn out if I were to put all those softball hours in and of course my butt will be wayyyyyyyy sore! Anyway, sounds like you're gonna be getting a lot of exercise with all those skateboard outings with your friends! Everytime I talk to you, you make me want to learn how to skateboard! Well, at least I can do one thing that you can - play guitar!!!!!!!! ;-)

Hey Josh! How are you? Not much news here except I just bought a white 30 GB ipod. I only had a nano before so I'm pretty excited about my new one :) That's great that you're getting your car now. I know you're so excited to get that sweet ride :) You deserve it though... I'm sure you're a good skater. Hey, your better than me :) and I believe that you kick butt with your signature move :) But your right, it is more about having fun and trying your best. Being the best skater is not really the ultimate goal. My first week back was pretty good. I like all my new professors and classmates. My classes will not be too bad. But yesterday the power went out in the whole town where I go to college, so we got to leave school at like 10:30am. Everyone was so glad. So that made me really happy. I like school, but I love breaks too. So you'll have to tell me how the first ride in your car goes. I'm sure you'll have fun.

i'm ok, how r u? hey that's an awesome car! hopefully you can get it on time. man my car's crap. but it does get me where i need to go, so i deal with it. but that's a really cool car, good pick :) so yeah i am going to be a math teacher (hopefully a good one) my degree will let me teach from the 4th grade to 9th grade. i think i want to teach 7th or 8th grade though. and i promise you i'll be a cool math teacher josh :) but i know what you mean about some teachers not having a clue. that is annoying, and i vow to not be one of them :) but thanks, it's cool when people think i'll be a good teacher because sometimes things get so frustrating. but that gives me a little confidence boost so thanks :) so you want to be a librarian, that's cool. one of my friends wants to do that too. she loves to read and that would be her ideal job. obviously you like to read so that's great if you can do something you like as a job... so how good of a skater are you? i'm sure you're pretty awesome. i always wanted to learn to skateboard but i have never tried. alot of my friends board but i never got around to trying it myself. i love to watch others skate though. i think it's so cool to see people do all those rad tricks and jumps. you know what, all this time we've been talking and i don't remember if i ever told you my name lol sorry... I'm Vanessa. but yeah i'll talk to you later :)

That's so sad that you guys never won a game! We have another one tomorrow. Hey, at least you got to be out on the field instead of forced to sit in the dug-out. It's really not that bad, though. Anyway, don't you like to write? I love it ~ that's what I'm going to school for! I really can't wait for the weekend . . . hopefully it won't go too fast. Have fun skatin' and doin all those fancy tricks I wish I could do!!!
Posted by kyararocks on Mar 28, 2007 6:40 PM (GMT-04:00)
i'm actually great. and yeah, no problem, i couldn't help but mention that. i really do think thats great. me, i'm a mormon. people have a lot of misconceptions about us but basically we believe all the general christian principles and a little more. and if you've ever met any mormons, you'll know we're extremely service-oriented and centralize around families. i really enjoy my religion.

Well, just got back from my first softball game of the season. Like I expected, I was one of the bench warmers, but it's okay since I've never played before in my life. The good news is, the coach did put me in during the last inning (we were winning anyway) and I just stood there on the field because no fly balls were hit in my direction <LoL> So that's the story of my day. School was boring, as usual, but at least tomorrow is Wednesday and we're halfway through the week! I have some huge writing assignments to complete, plus I have to eat, so I'll end my comment here :oP Keep up the skatin and have funnnnnnnnn
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 27, 2007 9:32 PM (GMT-04:00)
I'm doing ok too. I'm glad your getting better. I see you're still counting down the days til your break :)... sorry things didn't work out with your girlfriend but yeah if you keep busy and stuff things should be ok. this is your break, have some fun :D... that's cool that your getting a car. i don't know anything about cars but what kind are you getting?... my college major is middle childhood education in the concentrations of math and english, but i just want to teach math. right now i'm just taking some classes that are required by my major. all my classes are ok though. i've been meeting new people and they're all nice. but there's really nothing new going on with me either.
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 27, 2007 3:30 AM (GMT-04:00)
i'm sure you'll enjoy your break. sadly, mine has come to an end. i went back today. it's not that bad, i actually like school. but, breaks are definitely nice :) things are alright with me. but i have really bad allergies and sinuses so this spring weather is making them act up and stuff. so how are you doing? are you feeling better now?
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 26, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT-04:00)
So I'm living in the past, eh? Well that must mean that you're living in the future! Well, I did end up finding a dress - and get this - I got it for free. And no - I didn't steal it. Long story. Anyway, it's purple . . . nothing too fancy, but works for me! Hopefully I don't have to put too much into the prom - I'm just anxious to see how it all turns out because I'm actually one of the students planning it. So what else is new with you? I have some softball games this week, it's my first time playing so I'm pretty nervous. Other than that, just keeping busy with schoolwork and all that good stuff. Oh, by the way, you work in a library, right? Any good book recommendations for me? <LoL>
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 24, 2007 2:09 PM (GMT-04:00)
Sorry, I keep forgetting that you're pretty much a day ahead of me - so it's Sunday for you, right?! Well, I'm sure you would LOOOOOOOOVE snowboarding. If you're as good at skateboarding as I think you are, you would catch on to snowboarding very quick. I'm heading out the door now for a prom dress, so I'll get back on the boards tonight and let you know how it went. I've never been to prom, though, but all I know is that it's expensive. For example, tickets are $50 per couple, and a lot of them want limos. Hopefully it'll be fun, though. Wish me luck with the dress!
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 24, 2007 4:19 AM (GMT-04:00)
sorry i didn't get back to you. i haven't been on for a couple days. but yeah breaks are nice. i don't really have any plans for my break. i've just been doing some spring cleaning (fun), working, and trying to get some rest before i go back to school. but i guess it's nice to have a few days away, right? so sounds like you had a fun weekend. that's cool :) well, i'll talk you later then.
Posted by kyararocks on Mar 24, 2007 3:59 AM (GMT-04:00)
i noticed on one of the boards you mentioned you do not believe in sex before marriage. and i have to say, i definitely admire that in a person, especially in a guy. i, myself, have the same views and have also made that decision. but it's so much easier for a girl to remain abstinent, so i always admire that in a guy. some lucky girl is going to marry you someday, and will really appreciate that you saved yourself for her. mind if i ask what religion you are?
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 22, 2007 8:29 PM (GMT-04:00)
Yeah, my sister is very annoying! Do you have any sibs? I wish I could skate, I'm sure I could manage since I know how to snowboard. Or am I completely wrong? <LoL> We don't really get a spring break if you're talking about school. We had a lot of snow days this year that we have to make up. But the snow has finally melted and spring has arrived, so I'm happy about that. School is almost over and soon summer will be here, and best of all - I'll be a senior! I'm getting ready for softball practice, have to make my cousin a card for her birthday, stop at the store for dog treats for my dog, and come home and study for my Bio II test - FUN, FUN, FUN! Any plans for the weekend? I have to go get a prom dress, hopefully that won't leave me too miserable! Then I'll probably occupy my time by being lazy?! Who knows! Talk to you soon, Josh!

haha i know its against the law =[. like we cant have exotic animals here either. its sad. cause a kangaroo would be an awesome pet. where in AU do you live? i might have family there or used to, im sure u know back in the day thats where they used to put criminals from ireland england and their colonies. lol i think a few of my irish criminal relatives went there. now whether they actually stayed or not is a mystery. but i sooo want to go there. and then watch nemo, cause thats where hes from :)

Posted by EnderSavedSMC on Mar 20, 2007 5:07 AM (GMT-04:00)
hahah really?! my high school librarian is a former porn star, robin head hahahaha, supposedly with a horse. most famous rumor in the whole damn school hahah. the paper is on Creed, Code and Cult for my relig class. my professor doesnt like me though cause im the "anti" voice in the class. hes so morbid about everything. and i really do disagree with what he says i mean sometimes i am guilty of just pushing buttons but im so anti catholicism im supposed to be it etc but anyway the class is early at 9:30 am. craziness. right after my biology lecture at 8:00am. gah. hahah so yeah good fun. what high schoool?

I am certainly jealous that the weekend always begins earlier for you. Maybe I should just migrate to Australia?! Have you ever been to the States? Anyway, I guess I'm stuck inside all day, which leaves me pretty bummed because it's still snowing and my dad said "The roads are too bad for me to go shopping." So I hope you're having a better weekend then me! Take it easy! ;-)
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 16, 2007 9:56 PM (GMT-04:00)
that stinks that you still have to work. but you're right, it's not as bad as it could be. n2m is going on around here. i'm finished with my final exams which is like a huge load off my shoulders. i think i did ok. we get a week off for spring break so it'll be nice to have some time away from school... well, i'll talk to you later. i hope work is manageable with you being sick and all. take it easy :)
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 16, 2007 6:14 PM (GMT-04:00)
Well the good news is - it's the weekend! Finally - something we've both been looking forward to. You sound better - are you feeling better? I hope so!!!! We got out of school early today because of the weather - it was sleeting out and everything! So with that being said, it's been a pretty good day! And about Nate - "soft gooy center" hahaha I think you are exactly right and I couldn't have described it better myself! Well I'm gonna get going because my computer is making an awful noise and I'm just goin to shut it up/down! <LoL> Byes!
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 15, 2007 9:17 PM (GMT-04:00)
Yeah I love these boards - everyone is so nice and genuine. I'm glad to see that you're around more . . . a lot of people seem to just stop in every once in awhile. As for me, I'm addicted to this site! So how was your day? I heard that you're not feeling well - I hope you get better real soon!
<Passes you a tissue and some medicine>
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 15, 2007 5:24 PM (GMT-04:00)

Posted by straightjackt on Mar 14, 2007 2:22 PM (GMT-04:00)
No I don't really have time to mess around with Photoshop :-/ But maybe one Sunday when I'm really bored I will! So what's new with you? I saw a lot of your posts around on the boards <LoL> As for me, I'm getting ready to go to school so hope you have a good day and I'll talk to you soon! Byes!
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 13, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT-04:00)
Well, the weekend was alright . . . just didn't get too much sleep. I've been so busy lately - don't know if that's a good or bad thing! That's cool that you Photo-shopped the picture - it looks really awesome! ;-)
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 10, 2007 1:19 AM (GMT-04:00)
Well, I'm so glad it's Friday, but SAT's tomorrow. Should be fun . . . okay, not really! Anyway how was your day? Mine was okay but it's almost over <LoL> In your avatar, is that you on a skateboard? I love the picture!!!

Posted by straightjackt on Mar 8, 2007 8:41 PM (GMT-04:00)
I know your name is Josh, but I'm not sure if you know my name ~ it's Kayla <LoL> We just randomly became friends and started talking hahaha Anyway yeah school cancellations happen a lot around here, it's pretty cool but the only bummer is we have to make up those missed days. Today was my last day to snowboard but I couldn't go because of practice. And I'll be sure to tell my coach what you said ;-P
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 8, 2007 2:34 PM (GMT-04:00)
we have things called quarters where the classes for the year are separated into smaller time periods. my college separates the year into fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. so i'm almost finished with the winter quarter of my freshman year.
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 7, 2007 11:41 PM (GMT-04:00)
sorry, it's a final for college. a final is a school test that covers all the information you learned from the class. it is like putting all of your tests from the class together into one test. its kinda hard to explain so i hope it makes sense to you. but it would be nice if we didn't have them here either, and thanx i'll try to stress less :) ... so what's your job?
Posted by straightjackt on Mar 7, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT-04:00)
Tell me about it - my softball coach wants to have practice from 5:30 to 7:30 in the morning!!!!!! I'm thinking to myself, ummmm, no thank you! Anyway I didn't have school today because of the weather so I've been pretty lazy all day. What about you?
Posted by smarTchic4 on Mar 7, 2007 3:21 AM (GMT-04:00)
n2m, i'm just kinda stressed out cause i have finals 2 study 4. so, what's goin on w/ u?

hey!! just thought id add you as im also from australia! hows it going?
Posted by Underdog2071 on Oct 26, 2006 2:18 AM (GMT-04:00)
I don't get to play much cause I don't have my own account, and my current character, a night elf hunter, is getting kinda old. I dunno I don't feel like my skills match my personality. I like getting in on the action and doing the damage. Thats why when the expansion comes out I'll probably go blood elf paladin, if it's offered. My friends will hate me cause they are pissed about the class exchange but oh well.

sorry to hear about your breakup. =( are you finished with finals? you need to push her out of your mind and not let it affect your studies... I know it's hard, but it will only hurt you even more. you're probably better off without her... if she did that during finals. very inconsiderate and hurtful. I hope they went okay. were you Elk in the old community? I remember an Elk. hope you're feeling better... hang in there

before you got into the relationship and how you acted right after you got into the relationship, and try to swing back to how you acted before you got into a relationship, because that's what drew her in, and even though you are in a relationship now, the first three or four months of a relationship is usually spent continuing to draw her in.
i'll post a few new emo_jason guides for you later today. best of wishes, man.
Posted by emo_jason on Jun 7, 2006 6:12 PM (GMT-04:00)
first of all, i'm terribly sorry to hear that such an upstanding person must face these dillemmas. throughoout the last nine months, i've been facing a devastating trend of hardship and heartbreak. my girlfriend and i of three years, a girl i had promised my life to and had promised her life to me, a girl that i shared what we had called soulmateship with, left me to experience the rest of her high school career and i stood by for the last nine months watching her throw every goal and every aspiration out the window and all her self respect, dignity, and self esteem away to do what all her friends were doing because she thought she was missing out. she now has figured out that what she had was more than she had ever dreamed of having and that it was what she should have, but has found herself so trapped in her newfound lifestyle that she can't escape from it. i have set aside my desire to be in a relationship with her anytime soon and we're starting over as friends with my genuine hope that out of my love for her and from our being friends i can help her step past this phase in her life. but all of this helped me answer a question i couldn't answer before. why such emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physcially draining things can happen to otherwise upstanding people. and after honestly thinking about it, we are good people because of the things that happen to us and how we have dealt with them. these hardships encourage growth, maturity, and in the end we become even better people for it. so let me just start out by saying that, that no matter the outcome of this, this is an oppurtunity to grow and mature as a person, and you should shoot for that.
as far as the issue with your girlfriend/perhaps soon to be exgirlfriend. it sounds like it could be a variety of issues, but the most prominent resounding issue seems to be one of a lack of sustained interest level. she obviously is interested in you enough to have started the relationship. however, something has severly changed her level of interest in you.
you say you have been working hard for her for two years. if that is so she did not have a high enough interest level in you at those times for it to come to anything for one reason or the other. something must have changed in your chase method of choice a couple months ago that ignited her interest level in you. maybe you played at being hard to get, maybe you really shone in one aspect or another, but something had to have shifted for her to spark interest in you. and kudos for whatever you did, because it is very difficult to take a two year chase and make anything of it.
my next guess would be you were quite excited to have finally gotten the girl. maybe so excited that you let your guard down, and let that shift that sparked her interest fall back into place. i can only imagine how much you gave into the relationship once you had it considering how long you've been working for it. at the beginning of a relationship it is crucial to still act as if you are working on winning her over. giving her so much power over your thoughts, your emotions, spilling your guts out to her from the get go, saying the i love yous first, and just giving up the best of you to her are mistakes that a lot of guys make at the beginning of a relationship that will drain the girl's interest level in them. these things have their places in time, but the girl is interested in you only because she sees potential in you, there is something more that she would like to explore on an intimate interpersonal level, you give yourself all away from the get go and theres nothing left for her to explore and her interest level will drop. i have tons of material you could read over on how to attract, attain, and sustain a girl's interest level if you are interested.
but for now, my advice to you is that if it's not too late for you yet, you should reconsider how you acted directly before you got into the relationship and how you acted right afte

That's unfortunate Elk, i know that is a rather inhumane word for the emotions you are facing. When things like work or school further complicate things as delicate and humble and personal as a relationship or family it just synergizes things and makes it harder to see through the smoke. I hope things settle for a bit and you get a chance to talk to her. If it wasnt your fault, you should find some comfort in that, then again, you need to know why it came apart. I know what thats like. It's a terrible Catch 22. I just wish you luck and peace of mind, hope all is well. -mike

I may start to twiddle my thumbs as well, and wait for it to get better and pop in once a week. It's crap-tacular. Other than being able to curse there is no upside really. Alright, take care of yourself Elk, sorry you lost your member name.
