Hey, how are you? I've just finished up my first semester at college and everything went really well. I'm actually on Christmas break now until January 5, so I'm excited to just relax and find some time for myself. So how is life treating you?

Well, I'm pleased to tell you that last Sunday, I went to a Relient K concert. It was amazing. Anyway, college is still going pretty well, except for my algebra class. I'm definitely not a math person! Other than that, I"m just waiting for winter so that I can start snowboarding again. What's new with you nowadays?

So what was your favorite food in Italy? I can't imagine what the pizza tastes like! I hope you took lots of pictures! :-) As far as college, my workload hasn't gone down any. But I'm dealing with it, still trying to keep a social life, and basically just trying to enjoy the college experience. I'm double majoring in journalism and creative writing. So what else is new with you? How's work?

Wow, we haven't talked in so long! It was soooo nice to hear from you! It sounds like you've been living the good life the past few months, huh? :-P I bet Europe was absolutely amazing. I've always wanted to go to Italy . . . how was that? Well, my summer consisted of a full-time job. It wasn't bad - just office work - but now I'm officially a college student. I have one week in and I love it. Much different than high school. Now I'm just suffering with the workload, ya know?!

I guess that's because my senior year is FINALLY coming to a close. I officially have 3.5 days left of high school until I graduate! I am sooooooooooo exicited! Don't worry about not getting back to me sooner - I'm sure I'm just as busy as you! I have so many scholarship applications to fill out, and most, if not all, include essays. I feel like I've put over a million words onto paper within the last month! Anyway, things have been going pretty well. My senior year is finally winding down, and now I just have to get ready for college. I have a feeling it won't be hard to adapt, so we'll see. What about you? How is work going for you? As far as concerts, I'm supposed to go see Boys Like Girls in a few weeks, so that should be fun. Hope to hear from you soon, but in the meantime, have a nice Easter! :-)

I just basically played Guitar Hero with a few friends, then came home and watched the ball drop with my family. So what are you looking forward to this year? Well hello there! I'm definitely excited for Christmas and Christmas break, which starts tomorrow (FINALLY!). I wish I could experience a "hot" Christmas rather than a cold one, but I don't know how I'd react, since it would be a completely different experience for me! Hey! Glad to hear from you! Sorry it took me so long to reply again - I've been really sick. Anyway, it's snowing here, and everyone is getting ready for Christmas! It's weird to know that the "beaches are getting packed" when I can't even go outside without a coat on! Hahaha! Hopefully everything works out for the next tour for the both of us. I really wanna hear The Shade live as well, so don't feel bad! The only thing that is holding me up right now is the fact that I met THE SPILL CANVAS last Sunday, which was incredible. They are definitely in my top 5 fave bands! So how are things going for you? Any new concerts or fun events that I don't know about?!

I think the album is brilliant - what do you think of it? Wow ~ sorry it has taken me this long to reply. I have been busy with so many things, just trying to get stuff ready for the new school year. It's pretty much ruined since my parents won't let me go to any Dash shows, but there's really nothing I can do. Anyway, yes, I have been watching old Dawson's episodes. I have the whole collection, and I just got into it two or so years ago <LoL> Actually, I always heard Chris talking about it, so I thought I'd check it out since he has such good taste ;-) I went to Warped Tour two days ago and it was awesome! I get to see Ace Enders from the Early November soon, too. Hope things are going well!

I slept in until 12:30 today - I know that's really terrible, but I've been staying up 'til about 3 in the morning! Basically doing nothing - just writing or watching Dawson's Creek! Hahahaha. So you're a big fan of soccer? That's pretty cool. Did you hear about the Beckham's moving to the U.S.? Victoria already has her own reality show, so I've heard. I agree that the solo shows are awesome - hopefully they will come back to Australia to see you :oP It's funny you asked about any gigs lately because I actually did go to one last night. The band was pretty good . . . my friends didn't like them, but I did. I really don't have any plans for the weekend - I do have to write some newspaper columns but other than that, just taking some time to relax and what not. Have a great day!!!!!!!

That's awesome that you enjoyed skiing. I'll definitely have to try skiing this season, and give up a night on my snowboard! I'm getting my senior pics taken on the 22, so I'm taking my snowboard with me as a prop <LoL> Actually I only found out about my instructor's drug use after I was telling one of my guy friends how cute he was. My friend Wayne was like, "Ummmm, sorry, but word around here is that he's into the drug scene." Hahahah oh well - I have a boyfriend anyway :o) Anyway, I guess instructors are pretty much paid to help you up when you fall as opposed to laughing at you?! Well, if he did, don't feel bad, because I got laughed at a lot when I first started because I would perform these major tumbles down the hill . . . pretty funny picturing it in the back of my mind now, when it's all said and done. I'm really excited to find out if Dash is touring - so far the rumors are that Chris will be doing some solo shows in late August/September. That would be perfect since my b-day is Sept. 24. Hey, look on the bright side ~ at least you got your chance to meet Carrabba - I'm still stuck here behind this screen crying because I'm probably one of the only board members left (or at least that's what it feels like) who hasn't met him yet. :-( Anyway, anything else new with you???

I haven't heard from you in awhile!!! I'm great, how are you?! That's so awesome that you had a fun holiday - complete with snow tubing and skiing! Which one did you like better? That's so funny, because when I went snowboarding for the first time my instructor was sooooooooo cute! But then I found out that he did drugs?! So it was like, ummm ~ I think the cuteness wore off! Well, my class is finally over today - I'm so relieved because now I can actually feel like I have a summer! Well, I have a lot of other things planned . . . cookouts, bowling, miniature golfing with friends ~ all that good stuff! So you went to Live Earth? That's so awesome! You get to go to a lot of concerts . . . but are you wondering the same thing as me: WHERE IS DASHBOARD???????!!!!!!!!!

Heyyy! How are ya??? My summer is great but busy - internships and online classes - I feel like I'm still in school! How pathetic, I know! The college class is going good so far - it's freshman english, so that means a lot of writing!!!!!!!! Plus I get so many different assignments and we have very little time to complete them, so it's definitely challenging. Anyway, did you get to go skiing yet? I'd go snowboarding, too . . . you may even end up liking it better! :-) It's definitely hard at first, I won't lie, but once you get away from all the aches and pains and make a clean run down the slope, you'll fall in love with the adrenaline rush! Oh, drum corp. isn't a band - or an official band if that's how you took it - it's just a bunch of kids playing the drums <LoL> I didn't get to see it, but I heard the shows are pretty entertaining. Live Earth - yeah, I think I've heard of it. What bands are playing in Australia?

Well, summer is off to a decent start, even though my mom signed me up for an online college class and I have HOMEWORK!? Yeah, it's kinda crazy, but I'll get some college credits, which will definitely benefit me in the future. Today it's soooooooooo hot out, I really feel like going swimming! It's so weird to know that while we're celebrating the extremely hot weather, you're gearing up for a day on the slopes! Have you ever gone skiing before? I've only tried snowboarding, but skiing looks easier because you have control of BOTH feet! Good luck if you get to go, though! Woah those bands you went to see have really weird names; I've never heard of them before. Did you like them? My friend wanted me to go to a drum corp show with him but I wasn't able to make it, so that kinda disappointed me. Well, guess I better get back to my work . . . take it easy and stay warm! :oP

The queen's birthday?! That's pretty cool. Well, this weekend I went to a few graduation parties, and now I'm just so excited that it's finally summer. I've waited for how long, and it's amazing that it finally arrived <LoL> Anyway I won the $550 for community service and a writing I did for the school . . . I think I'm getting sick . . . I came home from school today with a fever and a headache. Not good, I know! :-( Anyway I hope I get that picture too - especially after looking at yours with Chris - it's soooooooooo adorable! If I were you I would have that as a poster in my room <LoL> Let's see, if I met him, I would just probably thank him for everything, and ask him a few questions if I wasn't crying or anything. Honestly, I think I would bawl my eyes out if I got to hug him because after watching him on TV and all that he just seems like an illusion/fantasy! :-) That's good that you're giving yourself a break in 2 weeks - I'm sure you deserve it! School is out in 4 doors - cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have many plans for the weekend with the way I feel now, but if I'm feeling better I wanted to go out to eat with my cousin since we don't get a chance to spend a lot of time together anymore. 17500 tickets in 5 hours?! That is serioiusly crazy. I am just praying to God that DC will come close to where I live so I can see them this summer. That's seriously one of the biggest things, if not the biggest, that I'm looking forward to. Anyway, that's awesome that your concert was fun. I haven't been doing too much this week, just trying to keep up with all my school-related duties, but like I keep saying, it's almost summer. What an amazing opportunity ~ to sit in a room with music execs!!!!! I would absolutely love that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, prom was really nice, just glad that everyone else had a good time as well, and now that's one less thing that I have to worry about, ya know? Back to school tomorrow after two field trips in the past two days, but thank goodness it's going to be Thursday. Then I think I'll have 16 more days left and summmmmmmmmmer! Well, prom was just last night and after all the work we put into it, everyone was impressed and had a terrific time. WHAT A RELIEF! I pretty much danced all night so my feet really hurt this morning, but it's all good! What have you been up to? Well, I know what you mean - but maybe shows will change and they'll have new age limits or something?! Ahhhh I just woke up and I'm sooooooooooo tired. I didn't get to bed until 1 last night and right now it's 10:30! I'm going shopping today with my mom and I think that's about it, which is totally fine with me. The blood drive thing should be fun, especially because my cousin works with the Red Cross and she'll be there. I would give blood, but my cousin says I'm underweight and need to gain a few pounds . . . for example, I'm 110 now, and she recommends that I be 115 that way when they take my blood I won't get sick. Oh well . . . have a good weekend too, even though yours is almost over :-(

Dashboard at my prom would be absolutely amazing. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We didn't arrange for a band to be there - just a DJ. Kids at my school like the R&B, rap stuff, so most of them wouldn't appreciate a band. I actually met Ian at a school function - he was a guest speaker, if you want to call it that. He was so nice, I even got my picture taken with him. Now he's working for MTV ;-) How was your day? Mine was better than I thought it was going to be, but I have a feeling that I'm going to be up late tonight working on my book report - fun, fun, fun!?

Unfortunately I'm only a junior in HS. I should be a senior but for some reason my parents sent me to school a year late. I'm not stupid or anything <LoL> I think they just thought it'd be good for me??? Who knows. So 26 left of my junior year, 180 days left for my senior year! Luckily, everything is organized for prom. I got a purple dress, which really fits me well, and since I'm one of the people who planned it, I'm mostly excited to see all my hard work pay off! ;-)

Those shootings are very sad . . . and of course unfortunate. My weekend was pretty decent; I actually slept most of the time because I've been so run-down with everything. Prom is coming up on May 5th, and everyone is so excited about it. PLUS summer is just around the corner, which is always a good thing! 26 days of school left for me! :-) Have a great week at work!

The week was kinda depressing after hearing about those Virginia Tech shootings - it's so sad! Anyway, I'm so glad to hear that you had a blast at your concerts! Did you get any good pictures and did you have good seats/spots? I hope so! Easter was good - ate too much, though. I hate when that happens! Making April is a new band, and I'm glad you checked them out! They do resemble Dashboard quite a bit. I can't believe you're going to see Ben Kweller and John Mayer . . . you are going to have a blast! LUCKY DUCK! I'm going to a local show on the 20th, hopefully it'll be fun. I bet all those guys love goin down to Australia - they probably take a vacation while they are at it! I hope this week goes by fast ~ the good thing is, I'm feeling better. I'm feeling a little better after getting out of my house today. I went shopping with my cousins and aunts - it was very fun, even though I didn't really buy anything :-P Making April kinda sounds like Dashboard - but of course no one comes close! I just came down with a nasty cold - I woke up all congested and everything, so I'm hoping I'll get better by Easter Sunday! I hope you get to go to that music festival - it definitely sounds fun! And of course, shopping sounds fun, too! I should probably make it a point to get out of this house and get some fresh air, but believe it or not, it SNOWED here yesterday! It's still freeeeeeeezing! As far as deciding a major, I still have a full year to go. I just wanted to decide early because my mom wanted to sign me up for those summer college credit courses. I did the music review on Making April - you should check them out - they are really nice and great people! Can you believe Easter is almost here - already? Seems like it was just Christmas, huh?! I do get a few days off from school for Easter break but it's not much since we had snow days . . . complicated story if you're not familiar with how that works. Anyway, I still have my schedule jam packed - actually, 4 softball games are scheduled (I think I may skip out on two! shhhhhhhh!) and my mom made an appointment with two colleges so I can get things straight . . . I'm trying to decide about online summer classes in order to earn credits for college, plus I'm anxious to decide a major. Like, I know I'm going for some kind of writing - but what kind? Professional? Creative? Communications? Journalism????????????? By the way, Red Lobster is a restaurant - sorry, I assumed that you had those down in Australia - my bad! And to answer your ? about prom - it's in May, and since I'm a class officer who helps with the planning, we still have a lot of things to get ready and order . . . FUN, FUN, FUN! My weekend was good - went fast, of course. I played some volleyball, shopped with my mom and sister, and worked on a big music review for my school newspaper. Well, my weekend was great. I went to Red Lobster Friday, spent the night at my cousin's, went prom dress shopping Saturday, and went grocery shopping with my parents today. The SAT's aren't final exams - you don't take them in school. They are just fancy standardized tests that colleges want to see your scores from and with good scores, you get into better colleges. I get my score back on April 5th so I'm really anxious about it. Softball is going good, thanks for asking. Coach says for someone who has never played in her whole entire life I'm actually improving and I really am working hard to prove that I'm ready to get in the game. Our first game is actually at the end of March, so we'll see if he puts me in! Anyway, I would love to see an acoustic show . . . well, at least you got to meet Chris! Lucky duck! I have that yet to do, which I really can't wait for. That thread in the DC forum is kinda depressing :-( Anyway I'm really tired and I need to blow dry my hair before bed so I'll talk to you soon!

I'm really tired because I had to wake up at 5:30 today for SAT's. I think I did pretty decent, I mean, I hate math, but I'm pretty sure I did great on my essay, at least. I'm gonna make this quick because of my tiredness so sorry! :-( Anyway I'll download those two songs ASAP ~ thanks for the recommendations! Softball was good, it's gonna take a lot of practice but hopefully the coach will put me in the game since I'm really trying to work hard and prove myself. Oh man that would be a complete letdown if Chris cancelled a show. I know how upset I was that I didn't get to meet him, Say Anything and Ben Lee but at least my show wasn't cancelled! I only downloaded one song by the Kaiser Chiefs - I love you less and less or something like that. Actually, I really like it! I'm pretty much open to ANY kind of music, except for country and screaming music and techo usually gives me a headache <LoL> So yeah, softball practice starts in an hour or two so I'm a little nervous because I've never played before but we'll see how it goes. Oh - the SAT's are a big test that a lot of people take and colleges use it - basically, if you have good scores, you can get into a good college. Awwww why did your solo show in Australia get cancelled? I would be so upset! Did you see the post where the one person was like, "Chris shaved his head in honor of Britney!" I'm not really looking forward to the SAT's. They are probably going to make me feel like I should've read the dictionary everyday of my life, seeing as how they expect you to know some really tough words. Figures - the weekend goes sooooooo fast! Let's see, shopping was awesome . . . I even bought myself a pair of Crocs shoes. Did you ever hear of them??? Chris was sick when he performed @ my first show last March but he did great, too. Hahaha anyway The Format is awesome - you reallly need to listen to them ASAP! Pretty much every song is good - I can't even recommend one but everyone seems to love Dog Problems since it's so different. As far as my second iPod goes, I had to get it because I filled up my first 20gb one and I wanted to get one with video and pictures! :-) Also, the writing was just a contest at my school about America and stuff. I think I will buy myself a guitar - I've been playing for almost a year. I don't have a lot of time to play because of my busy schedule but I try to play at least every day for a half hour. Well - enough about me! Gotta go finish some homework and all that fun stuff!Talk to you soon!

I love Snow Patrol! I bet their show was awesome! I just found out The Format is touring but they're really not coming anywhere near me - everyone seems to be avoiding Pennsylvania! Anyway I haven't been up to much lately. Just keeping myself busy by loading my second iPod and downloading . . . and of course school. I was going to talk to Congress about a program at my school - figures that they cancelled. But the good news is that I won $300 for a writing I did! So I think I may buy myself a new guitar - what do you think?!

Well, the Washington thing got cancelled. I was supposed to talk to the Congress so everyone in my family was so excited for me BUT we got a HUGE snow storm on Tuesday and that made them cancel everything. Luckily, though, that guy gave up on me because I really pounded it in his head that I have a boyfriend that I don't intend to break up with. I know - some guys - well, let's just say that it does take them a while to pick up the hints. Anyway, sounds like you're gonna have a blast this weekend. I just got home from snowboarding. It was a crazzzzzzzzzzzy night - very cold, to say the least. Then this kid who I met on the slopes called me and I didn't even remember him so that was reallllllllly weird. But hey I guess guys aren't afraid to do that kinda stuff nowadays? I told him I have a boyfriend but he said he'll call back tomorrow - as if I'm going to break up with my b/f! <LoL> Anyway for the weekend? I'm probably going to go to my sister's basketball games and out to eat with the family. I spent the day at my Pap's because he made lasagna just for me! :-) And then I went to my friends house because he got one of those Wii systems and we bowled, golfed, boxed, and played tennis <LoL> Yeah, I'm going snowboarding this week. HOPEFULLY. Sometimes they call it off if the roads get bad so we'll see. It's really cold here now - we keep having two-hour delays for school which is nice! Heyyyy well at least you had fun, right?! I know what you mean about the VIP passes and such - but I wouldn't consider myself lucky enough to win something like that. I've only seen Dashboard in arenas - no festivals for me. What was it like meeting Chris, by the way??? Annnnd yeah snowboarding was awesome. This is gonna sound stupid, but at first I kinda forgot what to do. BUT the 2nd run down the slope was clean and I had a great night. Can't wait to go next week! Anyway aren't you glad it's the weekend? It's gonna be Superbowl Sunday so I guess I'm going over to my best friend's house for a little party. Other than that I'm stuck at home doing homework. haha yeah i have played along with alot of dashboard songs actually vindicated was the first one that i could...cause its easy. thats why i like the new album alot of the ones on there are more up beat and you can drum along. ender will save us all 2. yeah marching percussion is waaay different. ya gotta read music, play multiple rudiments and march in step. its a bitch sometimes but it pays off in the end with technique for the drum set...ttyl

I have a gretsch 6 piece i bought about 2 years ago now, its amazing..almost like mikes from d/c but now he uses ddrum, ive been drumming for almost 10 years and i also do marching percussion, .....and yea i would have bought a gretsch either way if mike did or didnt have one there amazing! ;x

It cost $350 (with everything - boots, bindings, etc.) so I feel really bad that I put such an expensive price tag on something for my parents. It just makes me feel bad. Anyway, about the days getting longer - you didn't know that either?! Because my family acted like I was supposed to know, but I honestly have no clue how it works! Welp, my Chili's plans fell through because both my mom and my dad got the flu. Soooooooo I stayed home all weekend - it was very boring, to say the least. How did that present shopping go? I hope it worked out. Hmmmm well I never tried skiing ~ I wanted to but my cousin wanted to try snowboarding instead and that's what I ended up doing. I'm sure I'd like it . . . more control of your feet, ya know? You should try snowboarding, I think you'd like it. But I guess you'd have to go some place cold where they actually have snow <LoL>

I started snowboarding one year ago and completely fell in love with it. Trust me, I could never skateboard either but snowboarding is a lot of fun. It just gives me something for me to do during the winter, you know? For the weekend - tomorrow is my sister's basketball game, then going out to eat with my relatives, then Sunday I'm taking my Dad to Chili's because he's never been there and I figure the least I can do is treat him to lunch or supper. Everyone seems to want to move as far away as possible when it comes to going to college. As for me? Like I said, I'm staying as close to home as possible, because there is a really good school nearby; why move to another state just to get the same program and eventually get the same degree, ya know? Yeah we'll see what happens; I'm definitely anxious for my future, that's why I want to get out of HS! I'm a junior now, so one more year until I graduate! Sounds like you're in for a good time. Around here? Just parties and stuff like that. To me, it's kind of boring. I just sit around with my family and we stare at each other. Okay, I'm only kidding. This year we're just eating a big dinner and inviting 1/2 of my relatives over. It should be a good time; I enjoy spending time with my family. Australia seems really awesome though . . . I'd love to visit someday! I remember when I was little, (sorry if I'm rambling now) my cousins and I would talk about of all the places in the world to visit, we wanted to go to Australia because of the kangaroos and everything else that we heard about.
