okay, so i just got back from the native korean rock show (karen o's side project) im gonna do this quick. okay so friday i was doing more normal cyber stuff and there is this banner for native korean rock karen o's side project! one night, two shows, july 21st, 21+. i was freaking out i had my mom call the venue at 2pm, and they didn't get back to us until 5pm. so for those three hours i was on an emotional rollercoaster. but, like most things, everything worked out. i was allowed into the venue. once i got to the venue the doorman said "the youngen is here" and from that point on i was reffered to as the youngen. waiting outside the room where the first performance was going on, i could hear small sounds but nothing really. i had fallen in the love with the 5 tracks on their myspace player, and i recognized one of them. the first show ended and people start piling out. my mom, myself, and my dad are right at the door ready to get in. three people left with roses. AND OUT WALKS BRIAN CHASE so i took a pic with him, my dad messed up the autofocus? but it was okay, cause i had bigger plans. so i was front of the line like i always am. and i see karen through the window in the door and i show my mom. i don't make a scene or anything (suprising for those who have been to concerts with me, right?) then all of a sudden my mom says "they are telling her about you" and i look up, and karen comes to the window points to me and waves. i have back, smiling, and laughing. she chuckled. so we get into the venue, and im right hwere i want to be. everyone of the staff was so nice to the youngen. then after a good 40mns. the band came one. then karen. IT WAS SOOO GOOOD. I;ALKSJDF SL;KDJGL;KAJH it was easily the best show i'd ever been too. naturally, she brought some yyys stage movements like one LOW bellow. and jumping, the stage was small but like always she managed. during the second song, she picked up a rose. she sang with it. then gave it to me, in the middle of the song. and luaghed a little. then went on the energy was great. 150people, no yelling, no idiots. everyone was really great. the set was only about 35mns. and she played all five of the songs that are on their myspace + like 6 others. those 6 others were amazing. i truely love this side project. once she left stage and people started leaving. i went backstage and there was, sitting on the floor. and i said to her "im sorry, there is no knock button. but, would you mind taking a picture?" she was all "sure!" so my mom took the picture and then i spend like a minute 1/2 talking. so i introduced myself. i said "this was the best show i been too" and she said "aww thanks" and hit my shoulder. then i said "everything was top knotch" she hit my shoulder again, and she said "stop it!!" and giggled. she was a little drunk. i said to her "i had to get through hell to get here" and she said "yeah i know; i heard!" and like hugged me a little. like i shoulders squeeze kinda deal. i asked her if there would be any demos coming out. and she said "yeah! ill send them to you!" i didn't give my email or anything cause that have been crazy. and then i said (as i was leaving) "thank you so much it was great" and she said "im glad you came!" (and hit me again) SHE HIT ME THREE TIMES. I WISH SHE HAD BEATEN ME UP! prior to the show starting i saw kyp malone of tvotr walk in. so i walked over and said "hey kyp, my name is jesse firestone. i just wanted to let you know that im really excited about the new album" and he said "yeah, thanks. i hope you like it" and i said "im sure i will" then he asked for my name again, and shook hands goodbye BEST NIGHT EVER
