I know that "change" is Obama's catch phrase. He repeats that over and over but he never seems to explain what exactly he means by that. Or have I not been paying attention? Still I agree that Obama is the most progressive candidate. It's not a waste. Most people don't vote and that's where you gather the majority of votes. You won't change your coutnry by voting for democrats. History shows they're not as different from the republicans as they may first seem to appear. At least on foreign issues. A campaign is one thing and reality when the candidate is incumbent is usually another.

Yeah it's sick that only one pundit on a major network will go head to head with the Bush administration. If you disregard Jon Stewart (improv is not really his thing but I enjoy the show) from The Daily Show and Bill Maher. Well Obama has won 8 or 9 states in a row now hasn't he? I figured you would volunteer for Obama hehe. I would vote if Brian Moore was on the ballot. I regard Obama as the least worst candidate within the Democrats. Yes their parliament have an overwhelming majority for this operation that is nothing but another action by the racist and fanatically nationalistic government. You must know that the basic foundation that the state is based upon and the true nature of their politics for over a century have one aim and one aim primarily, and that is to liquidate or assimilate all minorities (which Kurds are the largest with approximately 18 million, little over 20 % of the total population of 70 million). This procedure can in many ways resemble what the Nazis did to the Jews and gypsies. You get lynched in some towns for speaking Kurdish (kurmanji) and political opponents are thrown in jail where they will undergo a systematic torture for who knows how long? Kurds are not allowed to practice their culture in what's rightfully their own country, broadcast radio or TV, establish schools and the list goes on. Frankly as far as many turks are concerned there is no such thing as "Kurds". Just recently a bill was passed that blocked websites and blogs by Kurds outside of Turkey. I will try and break it down for you. Turkey claims that the PKK is hiding out right across the border in Iraq and they want to take them out once and for all. This is blatantly not the truth, it's like trusting Hitlers no aggression agreement with Neville Chamberlain. There's 3 main facts that can't be neglect. 1. PKK is not a terrorist organisation but the desperate reply by the Kurdish people in Turkey to the brutal persecution of them. The resistance to wards Nazi Germany wasn't terrorism although they called it that. My point is if Kurds in Turkey were treated with humanity and were given the basic human rights that we all take for granted then the PKK would not exist. Again no one is interested in the grievance of the people. If no one listens and intervenes all you have left is yourself. 2. PKK are Kurdish freedom fighters but Kurds from Turkey, not Iran, Iraq or Syria but Turkey. Because the only regime in the region that persecutes Kurds so viciously are the Turks. Thus the struggle is against the Turkish military controlled regime. I mean even Saddam acknowledged the Kurds as a people. You have to bear in mind that it's Turkeys border as well and their citizens. Suppose this it's true even so they wouldn't be hiding out there if they were hunted down by the army like they are. It's like a bear hunter complains that he was attacked by a bear haha. 3. This is a mock reason and most people with an insight knows this for a fact. The PKK does not reside and establish camps in Kurdish Iraq. The real factor behind this attack, weather or not it is carried out, is that they want to crush the Kurdish parliament in the federation and all its progress. The Turks fear that a sovereign Kurdish state in norther Iraq could trigger a Kurdish uprising in Turkey and the whole region. They want to make sure that will never happen.

You're absolutely right, the national guard is intended to be in hand if something domestic comes up. During the 90s I read that the army was more and more focused on high technology arms and so on. With this new alignment they sacked a lot of military personnel and it would take 250 000 soldiers to come back to the same figures. I agree these images should be shown. It's in a way to dishonour the dead on both sides to lie about what happens over there. But what are you worrying about you're winning the war according to government propaganda. I have never heard of anyone winning a war in 4 consecutive years. The situation hasn't improved at all. If I was let in at a White House press conference I'd stand up and say "do you remember mission accomplished Mr President?". I don't understand how they can avoid being questioned in some kind of inquiry. That doesn't really happen in Sweden. Without the private contractors or mercenaries would be a more apt epithet the war machine would come to a halt. There are currently 180 000 employees to private military companies in Iraq and 30 000 of them are mercenaries. Since these companies aren't floating on the stock market their economy is concealed. A regular mercenaries earns about € 15 000 per month but more and more it's becoming a suicide mission for them and more and more they are murdering civilians on random. The owners of these private military companies have ties to the christian progressive right and even to the white house. After the killing of 17 civilians by blackwater in Iraq quite recently the founder and CEO claimed that they fired in defense. How he can now this is virtually inconceivable since he wasn't there to begin with. Even so if this was the case then where are the shells and bullets that were fired to wards them? Why didn't a single one of them get injured? Where are the guns? And so forth. I suspect that Hillary doesn't want to admit she was wrong. She wants to be regarded as a tough leader that is not afraid to go to war. I like her less and less. Movies and books! Oh well :P

I promised a reply so here it is. Yeah those are far out there. Along with people who think you're a hero if you murder a abortion doctor. When you think that your government is out of line it is your duty as a citizen to express these feelings. As much as it is your duty to vote I think. Brian De Palma was brave doing a movie that would be controversial. War is nasty indeed and people don't want to think about it. There's always war criminals, even UN troops rape civilians. Far too many Hollywood war propaganda films under the supervision of the Pentagon have been made. What's the worst? Making films that glorify war or one that shows its true nature? The right wing is furious because if people watch that movie their urge to enlist will diminish rapidly. This taking the situation one step closer to a draft. Why don't these rednecks enlist if they think the war is so good? Not to waste too much time on Bill O'Riley but everything that comes out of his mouth defies all reason, logic and facts. He does his very best to dumb you down with his freaking talking points. He's a demagogue. He would never be allowed any air time in Sweden. He's nothing but a war mongerer. Oh yeah, when the tax money goes to devices that will murder people it's never enough. Did I say that both wars cost $12 million per hour and $10 billion per month? It happens that they scam the stockholders in various rackets if they believe they can get away with it. It's the stockholders that pay the big fat bonuses of the board of directors and its CEO's. It's still weird that the same people who support the government have a problem with the state being responsible for health care and school and so on. Hypocrites? Naaahhhh. You won't believe this. Spanish newspapers revealed that Saddam was open to exile a less than a month before the invasion of Iraq. He wanted to take with him $1 billion as pocket money haha. When a White House spokesperson got the question from a Spanish reporter (think it was yesterday) he said that they are focusing on the present and not what happened in 2003 hahahahaha. They wanted war so bad that they were willing to deceive the public. In 2003 Bush said very scornfully that former French President Jacques Chirac "sees himself as Mr. Arab." You have to google this.

The reasons given by people seem pretty bogus to me. I don't see any reason why Obama couldn't be a great president. Yep Bush has failed in every aspect in his career. The reason to his early "retirement" must be that Bush ordered him to get out of the limelight, with all the allegations against him. Rove announced it as being for family reasons but that's just laughable. That President Bush ordered him to shut up is to me a scandal. That he has the guts to give such an assertion and not have a guilty conscience is sickening. Yesterday in northern Iraq a.k.a. Kurdistan 500 of my fellow compatriots died after a series of explosions. My parents are Kurds from Turkey you see. So really what Rove and many Republicans with him claims that Iraq will descend into chaos if they leave is the equivalent of spitting the families who lost family members in the faces. What's ongoing in Iraq at this very moment is a genocide. But the Republicans will as they always have, simply just blame the Democrats for the shit that they caused themselves. Water, electricty is scarce and the death toll reahces and exceeds 100 everyday, is that not chaos? They opened pandoras box and just like an immature 13 year old they don't want to take the consequences. The sad part is that the people that have to pay for it is the people of Iraq. All I can say is that Obama and Hillary can't possibly fuck up like this president have. I'm reading 1984 at the moment and it's astounding. nah. she's got a track on the amnesty int. john lennon cd (real love) and she's re-recorded better with more junk on it but that's it. i think she's slowing things down a bit right now, when i saw her i stockholm in march she seemed quite stressed and almost eager to get off stage. she hardly paused between the songs so you could pitch in a request and she played the same songs she'd done all tour, in the same order. now she's practised old songs and everything. she's even premiered two new songs. so she might be planning a new album in her head, but nothing is in the works yet. im looking forward to seeing her in august, it seems she could end up playing any of the old songs really. and one of the two new songs havent even been recorded (or well, put up anywhere) so there'll probably be totally new material, just like when i saw her the first time. if you have the chance i definitly think you should go see her this tour!

I would love to see a Stereophonics show. I love the guys, kelly Jones has such a voice... but the hives is my consumption dream, definately! I don´t really care for Maroon 5, specially because they are very bad live (Adam doesn´t sing well, and they change the tones of the guitars). I would only go to a Maroon 5 concerto if they open for Stereophonics or something, otherwise it´s not worth it. And The Hives I would go even if they play just half hour hehehe. Chris is manly, but he looks like a baby at the same time.. I think he compensate the baby look with a lot of charm hehehe. How old is he today?

No, we're Leos :) I was born on August 17, and Tori on August 22. Hah, yeah, she's in Poland today :) but she's in Warsaw, and I live very far from this town. On west. A friend recommended me Tori's album Boys For Pele (haha, I automatically wanted to write "Pelle" xD), it's great :D

i have actually! not alot but enough that i'm starting to get it. like this song, silent all these years, i still get annoyed by how it's been produced during some parts but it's really really enchanting other parts. we'll just have to wait and see how me and tori will develop but it's looking better and better!

I don`t go to any of our great festivals at all.. but some of my friends.. argh.. It is not fair they don`t even like The Hives like I love them.. mh..
